For some reason I thought the supply chain you were referring to was new wives.

This is what he tells me! He keeps mentioning how much easier my life will be when the first sister wife arrives, and then I ask: first?

We received a memo today that Pfizer plans to submit an emergency use authorization request to the FDA for the Covid vaccine as early as next week.

How safe is that, remembering the history of the swine flu vaccine?

The good news is I actually got a 100 page PDF memo that covers a lot of data this morning, but the bad news is I made it to page 3 by the end of the day. Partly my fault, but it's also not the most enticing reading.

So the summary I guess is that there have not been any major side effects noted with Phizer's mRna vaccine. The group was ~45000 people so that is a good size. Obviously not enough data on long term safety would be a potential downside. My own concern is usually watching the data for anything that indicates autoimmune issues. The Astrezeneca trial that was disrupted was due to one participants developing transverse myelitis of the spinal cord, which can lead to potentially severe neurological issues. They did not observe that issue with the Pfizer vaccine. Overall, the technology is not what it was when we look at the issues with the swine flu vaccines, so we are not going to see those kinds of side effects, but there is definitely a trade off between getting the vaccine out faster and making sure it is as safe as possible.

people are desperate for hope. the first step was the election, this is the likely second step, step 3 would be the stimulus provided mcconnell doesnt do what he always does and obstruct any meaningful legislation from passing.
