I finally took the band-aid off my injection site last night (5 days later) and now I can feel where the needle went in, and my arm is hurting again. Could be psychosomatic but it's just weird.

We do a lot of Brooding in the Fortress of Solitude, which is conveniently located only five blocks from the beach, but that was already happening pre-pandemic too.

Just like the WHO, the CDC and US Federal and many state governments are losing more and more credibility as time goes on.  Maybe this will lead to even more cynical thinking as to the nanny state being formed.

My beloved Mr U and I received our first jabs last week. We appear to be still alive, although he does function as an excellent 5G wireless hotspot now.

We need to stay vigilant, everyone. I don't think anyone has said it yet, but THANK YOU to you all for stepping up and getting vaccinated. You are helping to prevent more tragedies like Erica Chang and her father. Please keep bothering people you know to get vaccinated. I helped a friend this week who is extremely busy figure out how to get a jab that worked on his schedule. He said he never would have done it without seeing someone he trusted get it. Little nudges help in big ways.

CDC Now Recommends Wearing A Seat Belt Even When You’re Outside The Car

 

 

ATLANTA, GA—The CDC has issued brand new recommendations regarding the wearing of seat belts. Health experts there are now recommending people wear a seat belt, even when outside the car.

"This guidance is especially important if you're in a large group of people at the park or an outdoor event," said Dr. Stiku Pumybum. "Risk of collisions leading to bone breaks or concussions dramatically increase in large groups of people. Billions could die!"

Two stories I've seen over on twitter: an Arizona representative is 11 weeks out on her full vaccination and still contracted COVID19. I'm very interested to know what variant it is and wonder what her antibody response was initially.  Another case a person's family had all contracted the virus some months ago and did not want to get the vaccine because they thought they were immune. They have now all caught the virus again, this time a new variant.

Our doctor is going with the theory he had some sort of reaction + underlying health issue. It has improved over time, but not enough that the cardiologist must now investigate.
