Conflicting Medical Advice

Medical experts were asked today whether it is time to ease the COVID lockdowns.
  
Allergists were in favor of scratching it, but Dermatologists advised not to make any rash moves.
  
Gastroenterologists had a sort of a gut feeling about it, but Neurologists thought the government had a lot of nerve.
  
Obstetricians felt certain that everyone was laboring under a misconception, whereas Ophthalmologists considered the idea short-sighted.
  
Many Pathologists yelled, "Over my dead body!" whereas Pediatricians said, "Oh, grow up!"
  
Psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness, and Radiologists could see right through it.
  
Surgeons decided to wash their hands of the whole thing, and pharmacists claimed that it would be a bitter pill to swallow.
  
Plastic Surgeons opined that this proposal would "put a whole new face on the matter."
  
Podiatrists thought that it was a step forward, but Urologists were pissed off by the whole idea.
  
Anesthesiologists thought that the whole idea was a gas, and Cardiologists didn't have the heart to say no.

 

In the end, the Proctologists won out, leaving the entire decision up to the buttholes in politics.

Received my 2nd dose of Moderna yesterday.  Today, I have moderate muscle aches and a low grade (99.3 F) temp.......normal reactions....I'm sure I will feel better tomorrow....😀

  I'm not great at Republican math, so I'm not sure whether that rounds to 80% or 100%, but either way, better than Trumps rating, which rounded down to 0%.

Check for palpitations (racing/pounding heart that you're conscious of) and elevated blood pressure.

These, especially elevated BP, have been widely reported for as long as 2 weeks after.

If either persists beyond that, consider seeing your G.P. or a cardiologist.

Keep us updated, my wife gets her 2nd Moderna jab in 2 weeks and I am a week after that.  The first jabs for both of us were nothing more than a slightly sore arm.

I feel OK today.  No fever or muscle aches at all this morning.......

The old folks are now fully vaccinated. No effects whatsoever... I guess they must have an immune system like a tank or something. Hubby goes for round two soon.

  I think a stronger immune system would likely be a reason for worse side effects. Immune system issues (like autoimmune disease) could also be a reason. People who already had Covid also seemed to have a greater number of "side effects" from the vaccination. As far as I've heard, older people tend to have less issue with the vaccine, probably because their immune response is not as aggressive. Several people with arthritis have noticed it can make that feel worse for several days though.

 

  Many of the side effects are not really a bad sign. Fever, muscle aches, headache would all be signs of a stronger immune response, which is really what you want to have.

Have also spoke to quite a few people and came to the conclusion there is no discernable pattern. The nurse for example was down for a week, her Mother no issues.
