So we wear a mask when we enter the door to a restaurant, wear it while walking the distance to a table, then once we are all seated, we can take them off as it is now a Covid19 safe zone.  Of course if you get up to use the restroom, get that mask back on as Covid is swirling all over the building except for where one is sitting.  The whole masking thing at resturants made no sense at all to me, and studies I have read show little to no "super-spreading" events from restaurants or bars even with all those maskless people sitting at their tables.

since most restaurants   are not political I doubt they could be super spreaders. Those only happen at Republican  fund raisers and biker rallies

I'm at an international telecom conference at a resort for a few days in Maryland inside the beltway.  Masks "required" indoors. But all of the side talks, suite meetings and bar meetings are maskless.  Over 2/3 of the attendees are international and had to do tests to get here.   All the talk from all the learned folks here are about "this" being such a joke. . . even from the State Department folks here.

 

Meanwhile I got the wifey to take a few days away from the covid unit to unwind.   She has pretty much been sleeping everytime I check on her. Mary's work is calling her asking her to come in.   Thursday night it was a $150 bonus, Saturday was $250 and Sunday was $400.   I was able to talk her out of going home early. She is going to make bank the next few weeks picking up overtime.

 

But in the meantime her family in the Philippines has all tested positive and we had her mom in the hospital for two nights mostly from being dehydrated. One sister positive but asymptomatic. We tried to have them take more vitamins and have gatorade on hand and other remedies.  Everyone is ok for now and the bill wasn't bad at all. Of course now the local government wants them to quarantine at the high school with a few hundred others.  All without AC. 

 

It is certainly a big difference between the vaccinated and unvaccinated.

Considering Dr. Fauci is responsible for this pandemic, how is anyone actually giving him any credibility.

And while people are fighting tooth and nail to continue to have the freedom to keep from getting this experimental drug forced on them, others are fighting to prevent restricting abortions to less than six weeks into a pregnancy.  Why?  Because COVID KILLS.

No one is suggesting anyone go out an have a Covid19 party, but with all the current talk of vaccine cards/passports, etc., why are those that recovered not counted among those protected?

The study demonstrates the power of the human immune system, but infectious disease experts emphasized that this vaccine and others for COVID-19 nonetheless remain highly protective against severe disease and death. And they caution that intentional infection among unvaccinated people would be extremely risky. “What we don’t want people to say is: ‘All right, I should go out and get infected, I should have an infection party,’” says Michel Nussenzweig, an immunologist at Rockefeller University who researches the immune response to SARS-CoV-2 and was not involved in the study. “Because somebody could die.”

 

The researchers also found that people who had SARS-CoV-2 previously and received one dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccine were more highly protected against reinfection than those who once had the virus and were still unvaccinated. Considering Fraudci's track record I think doing the exact opposite of anything he says seems prudent.
