I used to think I was getting close to being great, but the more i hear of Alex, the more I realize I have a LONG way to go...  (you had best treasure that man!)

I do. ❤️ He really is the best person I know, in all seriousness. He grew up without a lot of money in the middle of nowhere, and scrambled his way out and up as hard as he could. He has a fantastic work ethic and is compassionate and kind to nearly everyone, even some people who probably don't deserve it all of the time. He takes care of his family and makes sure I am a priority in his life. We make a good team. I'm glad I got a second chance and I'm not going to blow it this time. I tell him every single day I love him and show it to him in all the ways I know he likes, even silly things like making sure his keys are in a place he won't miss them on his way out the door, or enduring listening to a band he loves that I hate with a passion. We check in with each other all the time to make sure the other's doing okay. And he loves to make me happy, even when I want to wallow in being grumpy and crotchety. He's smart and funny and I think he's the most handsome man in the universe.

So yeah, I know I married up. :D

She said... crotchety, lol.  Sounds like he knows the difference between a desert and a dessert (not hard to discern, after the first bite).

Congratulations to you both.  Finding that special someone is not all too common, but a life-changing event.  I know from personal experience!

Yeah, half a million bikers in one location, most of them topless, is probably NOT a good idea this year.

(Statistically, 25-30 will die from attending)

Yeah, I think it was worse last year, but it is what it is.  I guess Lollapalooza in Chicago was just fine though.

Seeing the pictures of the crowds from Lollapalooza made me cringe so much but tbh it's mostly because my introverted, low-social-meter self couldn't imagine being comfortable in said crowd under any circumstance 😅

I have been shoulder-to-shoulder with crowds in 'Nawlins, but can say that it wasn't pleasant.  I was a "social distancer" long before covid made it cool.

I love motorcycles, have owned many over the years, but have never been to Sturgis.  And not because I didn't have enough gas money...

They just need to have a small BLM riot during the rally. Then it would not be a super spreader event

2700% increase in deaths from vaccines in the past few months as compared to... forever.  Interesting coincidence.
