Got our bivalent Moderna boosters today.  Besides some injection site pain, we're both doing great. I have my next blood draw in 10 days for the COVID study I'm in regarding antibodies and inflammation. I've had blood draws every month since January (I missed February -- I had a lot going on that month), and it's been interesting to watch how the antibodies decrease over time. One thing I'm fairly certain of is that I have never had COVID, though there's an interesting blip in May -- not high enough to indicate I had COVID, but the IgG against N ticked up. My first draw was 2 weeks after my first booster, so the spike protein is very high.

Interesting. My doctors still recommend no more shots for now. Like many persons with ongoing mast cell issues after the booster, the antibodies are off the charts and don't really decrease. They continue to say they don't know what that means and that studies need to be done to even indicate if a person with this sort of antibody response is at less risk or more risk of illness.

And your story is interesting to me in turn. My immune system/inflammation overload was time-limited to about 5 months. When I had my last appointment with the rheumatologist about a year ago, he showed me that my white blood cell count and other markers for high levels of inflammation had pretty much returned to normal. He recommended boosters with careful monitoring of side effects, and my reactions to both I've had have been what's considered "normal." I have a couple of inflammatory conditions (eczema and rosacea) which have reacted slightly differently post-booster, though it's always hard to tell what's the trigger to a flare up for me. My rosacea has definitely flared up but the eczema has stayed the same, barely noticeable. 

 

Same though about the info I'm getting from the study about whether antibody response determines susceptibility, or exactly how inflammation and antibody levels work together or against each other.
