Like I mentioned earlier, the IO was following standard procedure: "I eventually got my naturalisation interview scheduled for 14th January of this year. I dutifully attended, answered all questions and passed all the tests, but was told a decision could not be made. Well the decision was made tonight, and a denial notice popped up in my online USCIS account."

(Just a quick note that in the case above the applicant was in the right and the decision was eventually reversed. That isn't the case in your circumstances.)

Simmilar to me, but the letter I received before concerning my green card date correction said that it was uscis fault, and that won't affect my residency and they sent to me the money back. I'm wondering if the same thing will happen.

Concerning the correct date on my green card which is 03/20/2018 I will be eligible prior to 90 days role for N400 on 12/20/2020

If it was supposed to be rejected why the officer would did the interview, after I told him everything???!! I'm very confused

they interviewed because its part of the n-400 process. they dont know what your status until at the interview is.  Its your fault for waiting to 3 years to get green card start date corrected. This should have been handled when you received your green card not when you are filing n-400

duh

The uscis send to me a letter saying that it's their fault. and I applied for N400 before I knew that the the greencard date is incorrect

At this point filing I-90 is futile since the corrected 2-year GC would have expiration date in Jan. 2020. Thus, USCIS won't now issue that corrected 2-year GC.

@HRQXSo where does OP go from here to bring the ship back to course?

OP @Cardinal2020, you had this incorrect date on your GC for close to a year before filing ROC based on its date. Additionally, when you received the GC, you immediately did notice that your Residence Since date was pushed back.

Did it occur to you to:

  1. Go and rectify this or find out why USCIS did that? OR
  2. Were you thinking that Lady Luck smiled on you and zoomed you past 1 year of waiting time?

If you knew about it and kept quiet, you may as well have shot yourself on the foot here.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

I didn't not file for the i-90, because I already file for i-751 again and I'm using the 18 months extension letter, which will expire on March, the officer said don't worry about it

I understand. Though you should have got this rectified first before filing ROC. Hopefully, more experienced members can come in and we help you find a solution.

I didn't know about it, because the date they put on my green card is the date I had my interview and I thought that's how it works

So you are saying that it took USCIS 1 year after your interview to send the physical GC?  And that they issued it on the EXACT date 1 year later? Why the delay?

What will happen is what will happen. You will find out in a few days or few weeks or few months when your application is either approved or denied. A this point nothing you can do but sit tight and wait.

It is what it is!

I agree with this. Ride it out and see what happens. You may end up refiling the n400, or maybe they will just delay it until your I751 finally gets approved.
