AOS Interview - Not Approved but Reviewed

Sorry I can’t find threads on this though I’m sure there are many.

I’m adjusting through marriage from E2. EAD in hand and just did my 2nd biometrics for AP today. Today was also our AOS interview. All went well, I handed over my i693 medical which was not in my original packet.

At the end of interview, we were given a notice saying our case will now be reviewed, if nothing else is needed from us we’ll get a decision in the Mail.

Most anecdotal evidence I’ve read suggests most get approved on the spot. What have others experiences been with this? I assume as my medical was only submitted today the officer needs time to review it which could be the reason?

Any thoughts on how normal it is to get this letter or if I should be worried?

We had a baby and we were under reviewed for 2 weeks, it is normal.

When my wife went through the AOS interview, her application was also sent to review.  Back then it seemed to be 50/50 for on-the-spot approvals, vs further review, but that is anecdotal at best.  In our case, everything was in order, no additional information was requested, the IO sounded very positive, so we did not worry and my wife received her approval three days later.  One other thing we noted as being positive is that the IO made a point to review the ROC process with us since my wife would be receiving the 2 year GC, we did not think she would have wasted her time on that if she planned to recommend a rejection.

Good Luck!
