Hi all

Please we need an advice because we are seeing cases being approved that are 3 month after us for the same center. Anyway so we applied end of October and we are at SRC. We see on the website that cases from the beginning of October are being processed so I guess the question is: does any September SRC member did not get processed yet and what did you do? Or just in case nobody was left from SRC, what advice can you give us if in 2 weeks we don't get any update and they already started November cases. Do we file online or call or what to do please

Hello, well look I sent my case in Oct 28 2020, they received it Nov 02 2020 (SRC) I did not hear anything until Jan 23 2021 (case was update to show fingerprints were taken) It's been almost 5 months and nothing. Each case is different for example, I been married to my husband for 4 years and we are a gay couple. We do not have children but we have a house, businesses, cars, bank accounts together, credit cards, medical and dental insurance, 401k, car insurance, our taxes together, travel reservations and many many photos lol. we have the necessary evidence to make our case one of the first to be approved but it was not like that, I keep waiting. I want to think that my case has not been approved because in 2016 I had to go to court for driving without a license, It is something that has always been on my record, every time I travel outside the USA, when I re-enter they send me to the little room because they find my court and photo of that time and it is considered an arrest, They always ask me the same question, have you ever been arrested? and I answer with the same story lol. when I went to court they took my photo and fingerprints, for them it is considered an arrest. So when I send my I-751 along with my evidence I send in the resolution of that court FINAL DISPOSITION: DISMISSED. As I know there is something like this in my record, I want to think that is why my application is taking a little longer than normal. None of the cases is the same, we can only wait and continue with our lives enjoying what we have today.

MY GREATEST HAPPINESS FOR THOSE WHO ALREADY RECEIVED YOUR GREEN CARD, AND FOR THOSE WHO CONTINUE WAITING LIKE ME, LIFE IS TOO SHORT, ENJOY YOUR SPOUSES, CHILDREN AND FRIENDS.

Anybody whose case went to VSC? It's by far the center that has the greatest backlog. They are currently processing cases filed in November of 2019! Any idea if there is a way to get transferred to another center is that out of our control?

Hi everyone

I need some advice.

I have been called for biometric on 7th July. But the problem is that I am out of states right now. My father was not well and I am visiting him at the moment. I ll be back on 29th July. My question is that will it be easy to resecudle  biometric? How  much delay should I expect?

I submitted application back in November 2020.

Similar situation, I am currently abroad and I am unable to change my return flight. Also, the USCIS appointment letter said something like if travelling out of the country, one should NOT visit their offices within 10 days upon arrival if not vaccinated against Covid. I am vaccinated (wouldn’t have travelled otherwise), but still doubtful if they’ll let me have another appointment as soon as I return to the US.

I called USCIS Contact Center when I received my appointment, and a Tier 1 agent scheduled a callback from a Tier 2. Haven’t received one yet, and quite stressed about it… (yes, I am a calamity howler)

Getting there, slowly but surely...  (I hope )

Apparently USCIS chat is worthless; CALLED USCIS, Tier 1 agent promised that a Tier 2 agent would call me 4/28/2021
Received a call from a nice Tier 2 officer who said I may or may not get a correct extension letter, but just in case I would be scheduled an InfoPASS appointment 5/4/2021
Went to local USCIS service center and had to deal with a nasty and entitled customer service agent who refused to give me an I-551 stamp. National Benefits Center is supposed to mail me another I-797 within 7-10 days... So I had to waste my day, taking buses for two hours one-way just to deal with this lady's attitude? 5/7/2021

After anxiously monitoring our mailbox for a few days I DID receive a corrected I-797, w00t! All documents good to go Vaccinated Ready to visit my parents in Europe for the first time in 17 months!!  5/13/2021

The lesson: Don't use the chat for anything complicated, AND keep hassling USCIS for a response...

I just called and they said that tier 2 won't be able to call me as I m out of states. They took my husbands no. And said that we should expect call within 14 days. Now, here I have my appointment in 14 days. :(.

It has been a week now, no call. I do have my US SIM card with me here, though. Although I don’t think they work Saturdays or Sundays.

My fourteen days will be just a couple of days before the appointment is supposed to take place. I guess I will have to call them again next week if nothing materialises.

I find the whole way how the callbacks are implemented extremely inefficient and nerve racking. I am supposed to be anxious for two weeks straight until USCIS comes up with a solution, and be ready to answer the phone at any given moment…ugh… Why not let us self-schedule biometrics within a certain time window when they are requested without threatening to deny petitions just because USCIS is so inflexible in their ways 😒

Yeah, and then time difference. I have 12 hour time difference from california. It's stressing me out. They also said to write a letter to my local application centre explaining my situations and requesting a resecdule. Didn't they mention any thing like that to you?

No, Tier 1 agent didn’t mention anything like that. I’ve understood from other threads on VJ (not sure if it is correct) that if you have to reschedule an actual ROC interview, you would want to request this in writing and send the letter to your service center. The appointment letter simply said that if there are reasons requiring rescheduling of the fingerprinting, you should request it by calling the USCIS Contact Center.

If they don’t contact me by the end of the week/Monday, I will have to call another Tier 1 at the contact center and ask for a supervisor. Hate to be a male Karen like that, but this really irks me.
