My wife's and step-daughter's GCs expire next month.  I had the form filled out last year and just procrastinated getting the rest of it together to send.  So scrambling a little bit to get it all sent off tomorrow.  A couple quesitons:

1. I've seen a few folks mention using a credit card instead of sending a check.  But I haven't seen anywhere how that can be done.  Is there a special form for that?  Any advantage over check from a processing/speed perspective?

2. I see options to mail to one of 2 different addresses depending on whether you send via USPS or other service.  Any advantage of one over the other?  How are most folks sending theirs?

3. How are you physically mailing this massive wad of paperwork?  Putting it in some kind of binder and mailing in a box?  Just putting the stack of loose paperwork in a big padded envelope?  Other?

Thanks for all the help here.  The folks and forums here have been invaluable over the years.

We mailed it on the 16th and it arrived on the 19th. Check hasnt been cashed yet, so hopefully soon. I fully expect it to take longer than a year though and not expecting any movement until we file for our citizenship next January though already so not getting my hopes up.

1 -  This one I am not sure about, I will wait. We just mailed a check from our joint account to have more evidence of a 'combined life.'

2 - Don't believe any benefit to either. We went with USPS since its a government to government hand off from the mailer. I imagine the only benefit would be getting in the system by a few faster but the wait is still long.

3 - Just an priority express envelope with a paperclip in the USPS letter.

1. Yes- u may file by credit card. there is a special form g-1450. It's on the I-751 immigration cite here: https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/g-1450.pdf

2) there's really no advantage. The only thing to note is that USPS is the only one that can go to a drop box. you can mail USPS to the other one. But FedEx and UPS cannot put mail to a drop box
3) I didn't have that big a file... not sure why many say this. HA. however, I just used binder clips for everything, dropped it into a priority envelope and stuck that envelope into a priority box. viola

Has anyone heard of any problems receiving their I-797 Receipt Notice of Action? Our application was received September 28 and the Money Order never cashed. 6 weeks. I can’t get past Emma. Don’t know what to do.

You have to write the lockbox since it has been more than 30 days

Does anyone know if we have to submit 2 color passport photos, or it does not apply to us. I keep reading bunch of different things and I get so confused. Also I have noticed now everyone is filling to Phoenix.

we didn't add two photos and mailed to Phoenix as well

Thanks to all for the feedback.  Got all the docs printed out this morning, and ended up sending with just a check and put it all in one of those big flexible USPS Priority envelopes.  Hopefully it all makes it there OK and we didn't miss anything.  One thing I forgot to ask is whether you all are printing single-sided or OK to print double-sided.  Seems like in previous submissions it was recommended to just to single-sided.  So that's what I ended up doing.  But just ends up being some many pages, especially along with all the bank statements.  Seems like they really just need page 1, and a huge waste, but I sent all pages just to be safe.

2016/09/01 - I-129f mailed

2016/11/07 - NVC sent to consulate in Chile

2016/12/01 - K-1 Packet received

2017/01/13 - K-1 Interview - approved

2017/06/19 - AOS filed

2017/08/21 - AOS Biometrics

2018/12/20 - AOS Interview

USCIS wants everything single sided cuz they have to scan it into their system

as for the bank statements, what I and some others ended up doing is printing like quarterly statements. Doing every single month can get cumbersome for 2-4 year statements, especially  if ur statements are really long.

maybe that’s why some folks’ packages are More than others

but hoorah! It’s done

welcome to the waiting game with us 😂

Hello everyone!

One more November to file something to CIS...Is there anyone who also filed K1 and AOS in November?

Sent my docs last week, hope to forget about the whole process until they invite me to the interview :D

Hello fellow November filers. Our package was received at the Arizona lockbox facility 11/16/20 after mailing it out on Friday 11/13/20/ with the USPS. We will let you know when we hear back from USCIS regarding a case number or any information that they send to us. So far nothing yet.

It's looking like at least 6 weeks for a NOA to be sent out. We are not holding our breath. Just wait and chill.
