I have a quick question, when are you guys planning to apply for Naturalization? Are you waiting to receive the new Green Card first?

Elegibility is next November 2021 and we will file for N-400, even if ROC is not done. Luckily our app is at SRC so pretty quick processing according to VJ timeline stats.

Where are the VJ timeline stats? I'd love to see them myself

Can you update the spreadsheet please with your timelines, WAC seems to be transferring cases faster than usual :)

I will once I get the actual letter in the mail and reads what it says.

I can’t right now before am not sure if I am moving offices or staying put for interviews. The notification doesn’t tell you much

Can someone confirm that a biometrics letter is being  mailed ? Or once you check your USCIS account online, you will not receive a letter?  Thanks

It sounds like people actually get a letter in the mail saying it’s been waived

and that it is applied from old fingerprints

so something should be coming! Around 7-14 days typically from the notification

Yeah most likely. My eligibility date is November 2021, and given that YSC’s processing time looks to be 16 months on the minimum, I’d rather apply and take my chances that both get processed at the same or similar times.

Independent of your ROC being done or not.....do apply for N-400.

If your intention is to naturalize anyway here are some reason:

a) A lawyer told me that there is no "legal" prohibition to apply for N-400 even if ROC is not adjudicated

b) It is speculation to think, that this will trigger a movement on your ROC, but why not try anyway and be over with immigration

c) Remember that the fees always go up. My personal experience is anecdotal, but so is my close and extended family and friends and some get horrified what it currently cost to naturalize. Trump wanted to raise it to $1170!!!

d) It's only $725 currently. Not either a bargain. In 10 years you will have to pay again for an expired GC. You also have to file a AR-11 every time you move.

e) I have no idea what experience is to do customs for every one. My personal one was always time wasting and annoying. Multiple times as a GC holder got sent to secondary for no reason. I traveled a lot before and now have Global entry.

Hello!

So! Thought id update this forum as I'm originally a November filer.

I filed 30th November, 2020. I mailed with 3- day priority.

Stuck with USPS for 3 weeks!

Delivered to Phoenix Lockbox 26th December.

Checked my bank account this morning to see the check was cashed 29th Jan!

Waiting for the notice of action in the mail!🎉

Green card and driving license both expired 22nd Jan, 2021.

Hope this helps with other timelines.

Seems pretty convincing, so thank you! :)

I'll ask around a little more then decide because I definitely would love to be finally done with the whole process...

I confirmed it via a phone call that my I-131 was accepted two weeks back. Uscis gave me the receipt number. It has been more than 2 weeks and no letter in the mail. I was asked to email the AZ lockbox for a duplicate receipt notice. I received an automated response that the lockbox will take 30 BUSINESS days to get to my email. Wow!

Got the receipt notice 16 days after the check was cashed and letter was postmarked 14 days after check was cashed. So usps worked fine, uscis was slow.
