What apps are people using to keep track of their case? I'm thinking of downloading one since uscis itself seems to be unreliable when it comes to notifying people about updates in the case, and I'm worried I might miss something like an RFE.

I have an iPhone and use the "Case Tracker app"
Just keep in mind that not every case is updated. Depends on who's looking at it
Some have gone from application to end with no notifications

Well Well well
The plot thickens

@MariaUSA90 and anyone else in the slow-forsaken WAC center 🤣

Will keep you posted when I get the letter in the mail

I swear, if they moved me to like MSC where green cards are being handed out, then I will lose it! (in a good way) because I lowkey expected us to wait till kingdom come. ha

Omg yay! Hoping for good news for you!! I've been watching WAC cases being transferred but didn't see any approvals yet.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh
well then. This was my other suspicion...
Which means it's transferred to LOCAL office i.e. an interview is coming (which on it's own can also take a few months)
Well that's unfortunate! lol

I confirmed it via a phone call that my I-131 was accepted two weeks back. Uscis gave me the receipt number. It has been more than 2 weeks and no letter in the mail. I was asked to email the AZ lockbox for a duplicate receipt notice. I received an automated response that the lockbox will take 30 BUSINESS days to get to my email. Wow!

USCIS was supposed to get back to me by January 26 in the case of misspelled last name on my NOA. Still nada. I filled the typographical error form on January 4...

Getting there, slowly but surely...  (I hope )

Together (well...mostly the Transatlanticism kind of together) Since 12/2013

CR-1:

Married in Sweden 8/2017
(Well Frontloaded) I-130 Sent 12/2017
CR-1 Approved 10/2018
POE LAX 01/11/2019

I-751:

I-751 Package Sent with UPS 11/11/2020
I-751 Received by the AZ Lockbox 11/13/2020
I-751 Check Cashed 12/31/2020
I-797 (with My Last Name Misspelled...) Received by Mail 1/2/2021

Biometrics Appointment Received by Mail...too bad I am in Europe right when it's supposed to take place 🤯 6/14/2021

Rescheduled Biometrics Appointment, the biometric technician can't change the misspelled name on file, but he enters the correct spelling of my last name as an alias 8/2/2021

Interview Ready to Be Scheduled 10/13/2021

(Two Days Later) Interview Was Scheduled 😱 10/15/2021

I-751 Interview, Petition Approved 🥳 11/19/2021

Case Status Changed to New Card Is Being Produced 11/19/2021

Case Status Changed to Case Was Approved 11/22/2021

Green Card Arrived in the Mail (Name Correctly Spelling, w00t) 11/27/2021

When USCIS Misspells Your Name:

Typographical error form filled on USCIS website 1/4/2021
Contacted USCIS if there has been any progress since THEIR error (Received a Tier 1 tracking number) 2/6/2021
Contacted USCIS again as the issue remains to be resolved (Received ANOTHER Tier 1 tracking number) 3/12/2021
Apparently USCIS chat is worthless; CALLED USCIS, Tier 1 agent promised that a Tier 2 agent would call me 4/28/2021
Received a call from a nice Tier 2 officer who said I may or may not get a correct extension letter, but just in case I would be scheduled an InfoPASS appointment 5/4/2021
Went to local USCIS service center and had to deal with a nasty and entitled customer service agent who refused to give me an I-551 stamp. National Benefits Center is supposed to mail me another I-797 within 7-10 days... So I had to waste my day, taking buses for two hours one-way just to deal with this lady's attitude? 5/7/2021

After anxiously monitoring our mailbox for a few days I DID receive a corrected I-797, w00t! All documents good to go Vaccinated Ready to visit my parents in Europe for the first time in 17 months!!  5/13/2021

The lesson: Don't use the chat for anything complicated, AND keep hassling USCIS for a response...

Did anyone get TWO NOAs? I got 2 exactly the same NOAs from Potomac center in December and Jan. Shows how mismanaged things in USCIS probably are!

Do you want to really know how mismanaged USCIS is.????....  My husband received his extension letter on Monday YAY. then on Wednesday there was a packet from USCIS addressed to him to our home. Inside was ANOTHER COUPLES PHOTO ALBUM. #######!!! Right away he started contacting USCIS as it was his day off. He could not get a person on the line. I posted this in a FB group and the moderator actually found one of the petitioners as she had a picture of her drivers license in the album. I tracked her down and we exchanged phone numbers. She wants me to mail her photos to her, but I won't until USCIS clarifies what the hell went wrong, and if someone else received an error of ours. I called them this morning, but they refused to talk to me as supposedly only the immigrant petitioner can OR they give verbal authority when you (USC) are on the line as well. He doesn't have another day off until Monday. What an absolute show.

WOW! Thats terrible, as if the immigration process isn't stressful enough their mismanagement makes this so so much worse. I hope everything gets resolved, maybe an infopass appointment may help?

Question, does applying the Biometrics step rely on St Louis MO (Where I live closest office) or SRC Texas (Who is processing my application)? I feel like tons of people around my timeline have had their biometrics letter already and I’m just wondering who does it rely on?

The letter probably comes from the Service Center.  The local office would probably not do that until it gets your whole file for either interview, its ready to adjudicate and or RFE.
