Any views or observations on SRC service center?

From what i see on the statistics on VJ, it is currently one of the faster processing centers. This is only good till all the sudden it gets slammed and they start moving applications elsewhere 🤐. Let's hope this doesn't happen. No way on telling. I have seen ROC done in 3-4 months.

Things seem to be grinding ahead for the initial responses, at least.  My credit card was finally charged and the NOA should arrive today.

I wonder if anything will change with a new administration and head of USCIS?  Will processing times trend back to historical averages again?

Hello guys I filed to remove my conditional status and it was rejected due to incorrect filing. I am currently waiting back for my package to see what we did wrong. My card expires in February what does that mean for me,if I don't get a respond before that time? Really would appreciate it thank ypu

Nothing you can really change your situation as of right now. Wait for the package to be back and refile ASAP. Remember to use courier and not USPS, because of delays. My regular mail is still kinda 1 or 2 days off. But that could be my specific area. Your permanent GC status has not changed. It is valid. The only thing is that the GC is expired. Do not drive with expired DL if this is the case, like in a recent post. Certain actions have real bad consequences for N-400 and/or GC status later on. Your employer cannot re-verify your documentation either. That is supposed to be against the immigration laws. Trying to get a different job on the other hand might be difficult, because of your unclear status that employers don't really understand. Not impossible with very big employers, their HR might have more insight on ROC.

Hope this post helps you out and always be patient. Directly and indirectly i have been activ since I met my wife and before for myself. This is a game of a lot of paitience and crossing your fingers.

I highly doubt it for the very start of the new administration. USCIS needs to be restructured and/or new employees need to be vetted and trained for such a position, which usually take months. Remember the furloughs? USCIS is funded by immigrants, but the lay-off did happen and shutdowns where real. The backlog was already a joke, now it is at a record standstill. Very simple, No immigrants coming into the country for whatever good or bad reasons, no money for USCIS. Even if they managed to process more applications during the last 4 years, there where less petitions, but also less funding and there by less or no increase in processing agents. With the new administration coming in, more people will try to adjust or even file some kinda petition and the problem is like a tide.  Just my personal opinion.

Hi all, since you're the experts right now and I'm not going to file for a few months still -- you cannot send in I-751 until 90 days ahead of GC expiring, correct? And what if they take more than 90 days to approve and send 10 year GC? My husband's company will not let him continue to work one day past the expiration of his current GC. This is making me really nervous! I have everything ready to send in to remove conditions, but it's too soon still...TIA for any info or feel free to direct me to another board :)

your husbands company should read the law....they can choose to fire him for other reasons, but for expired GC is illegal. His status has not expired, just the GC.  If you file on time; meaning you file the first day of your 90 day window, you should get a extension of your GC for 18 months before the GC expires. November 2020 filers where the first that had delays and on top of that we where in the middle of USPS delays and holidays  (xmas and New Years) and now shutdown for January 19 and 20 of USCIS office. Use UPS or Fedex for delivery almost "guaranteed" 2day delivery or next day. I would use ground if it was guaranteed not to be there before the window opens.

10 year GC is taking anywhere from 12- 18 month average for most processing centers.

Thank you -- so helpful. How do you show the 18 month extension to your company once you file the I-751?

have to wait for the NOA to show up. Few tips: use informed delivery from USPS, file on the first day or send package to be there on the first day of the window, triple check that everything is there, some VJ had problems with credit cards (if in doubt use personal check), open an USCIS account online to track your application and the last is be patient. 😁

Also, do not go online more than once a week to USCIS account, i do and go crazy lol

Hi Everyone

I just received package from uscis. They rejected my I-751 application because of outdated version of petition form. from where i can download the newest version. I downloaded the form from https://www.uscis.gov/i-751. It doesn't have newest version.

It is stated in the uscis website that they are still using the 12/02/19 Edition Date, which is what is available in the website right now. Do you have a copy of your submitted form? Do double-check the edition date on the bottom of the page to make sure you used the right one.

Good luck!!!

Hi Thank you so much for the response. So I did check the form and in the top right hand corner it says "Expires: 12/31/19." I did see the message you are referring to on the site that says this form will be updated soon but for now keep using one available. The only i 751 form available on the site is the one i used. Do you think Edition Date and "Expires: 12/31/19" is same? Can you please send the website link of the form you used.

Yes that's the form that I used. It says this in the top right corner: OMB No. 1615-0038. Expires 12/31/19.

Hmm.. I wonder why they rejected yours if you used this form though.. In your copy, make sure you have all pages (11 pages) since I know some people got rejected because they filed incomplete form with missing pages.
