Just submitted our package yesterday for ROC. Was delivered today. Let the waiting begin (sigh). I can't believe it's taking 2 weeks for checks to be cashed right now, our check was cashed so quickly with our I130 😅

Same boat here! I’m applying with my minor son (he is 14) and our green cards will expire on January the 16th!! So I’m panicking! But we couldn’t file earlier due to $$. And before this, we had a lawyer that helped us (we can’t aforos it anymore). So I don’t know how to do anything and I’m trying to learn, while panicking and rushing!!!!

Goodluck, start with the checklist and do it one at a time. You got this. I’m submitting mine this week too.

Two weeks if we're lucky! Sigh
Am seeing some run almost a month! I can't comprehend how it got so backed up in just a few months
August filers appear normal- usually within 7-10 days

I didn't realize the backup (or should I say backup of the backup lol) happened that quickly, how strange 😳 you'd think they'd be more eager to take the money off us lol. when we started to put everything together for the package, I looked into how long things would take and was in utter disbelief of how far behind they are in general. I thought surely this would be faster than the I130, especially because the paperwork wasn't very long or complicated (relatively speaking). but nope this will likely take even longer than our I130 did, go figure 🥴

the joys of immigration

I did NOT miss it, that's for sure

I just want a stupid text so I have some comfort that someone is looking at something I sent and it's not in some dungeon somewhere collecting dust

Ikr, two years of peaceful bliss, this has been a rude awakening!

When did you submit? I hope you hear something soon and am sending good vibes. Though, you may be onto something with that whole dungeon thing... 😂

Thank you! Goodluck too! All the best for everyone!

I’m not sending tomorrow :( I didn’t know we need to send those Affidavits, do you happen to have an example of those?

The affidavit is not mandatory but is recommended. I know the more paperwork the better, but if you have enough evidence of you marriage it is not necessary. For my AOS I did not send any family photos and only a few of supporting documents and everything was fine. Here is the link with an axample.  https://citizenpath.com/cpwp/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/I-751-Affidavit-Sample.pdf

Actually, the affidavit is not recommended. It IS something you can use, but no where is it "helpful" to have it.
It is the weaker of all evidences, along with photos.

USCIS asks you for evidence of a bona fide marriage. A couple of people saying your marriage is real means really nothing. It's just as good as saying "here's a photo of me and my husband." It's nice- but anyone can lie and make those up.

Focus on hard evidence, financial documents- joint accounts, taxes, beneficiaries on insurances. Those are the winners.

I, along with a ton other people did not put an affidavit. Don't delay sending out your package just because of an affidavit.
