i sure hope the following ROC filers read this thread or elsewhere and use a courier and not the USPS. That would save them a ton of headaches and worries. Nobody could have forseen that 45 tried to bankrupt the post office with a donor of his and only those leftist (progressive media) talked about it. Just that everyone understands why this is happening.

To prevent loss of USCIS mail if you transition from one address to another, can you bypass this problem by using a P.O Box or private mailboxes like UPS store? I am not sure if this is still the case. I did my GC like that years ago. I applied with a private mailbox and live in one address, then i had to move and my paperwork was always mailed to the UPS store like everything else. We plan to move before we apply for N-400 for my wife. Given that we may or not have the ROC done by then, is it a good idea. I was thinking to apply for N-400 with a ups mailbox address instead of our actual living address and so we never loose our paperwork because of USCIS rules. Will it work? I know it did before, but that was 15 years ago or so.

Yay!! My notice also shows up on informed delivery. 🎉 california Service Center 🥴 don't they have a super long processing time!?

I think Texas Service Center is pretty fast if you have a straight forward case. They were some approved within a few months. But maybe that was just odd lucky ones.

I just saw the VJ timeline and this is insanely fast @SRC (Texas Service Center). Multiple filers from 2020 have gotten their ROC done in record time (less than 1 year).  One from September 2020 had it's application approved by Xmas 2020. 😀

Hope yours is fast also. Next step is await for that biometrics letter and they use our prior photo and fingerprints.

Thanks, I think I'll just do the citizenship stuff next year. Then the wait time for ROC doesn't really matter. But I'm glad I can finally get my DL renewed with the extension letter 🎉😁

If I where in your shoes, i would apply for N-400 and do the combo interview with ROC in 2021. Reason is that it may force your local USCIS office to handle both at the same pace IMO. The only reason not to do it, if you where to move to a different address. That is a wrecking ball when it come to USCIS when a application is pending.

Yeah that's the tricky part. My husband is in the military so we could be moving again at some point 😅 but I'll worry when we get to it. 😬
