So if your license expires when your green card expires, can you go renew your license once you get your NOA? How does that work?

I'm in California and they told me yes. I just have to bring gc and the extension letter  But it depends on your state.

My license and gc both expire this Sunday. So hopefully they don't make me take any tests again because of the expired license lol

Hi everyone, very grateful for this forum because it is keeping my anxieties in check. My package was received by Lockbox on 11/24/2020, no response yet. My GC expires on 15th Jan. But I realized I have not written "N/A" in all 1-751 blank boxes. Silliest mistake of the year that is going to cost me so much delay :( . Does anyone know from experience if they might accept this application? I have already sent another application on January 4th but that will take a LONG time to be picked up :(

I didn't write n/a. I wouldn't worry about it too much. I checked my AOS and I didn't do it then either. Mine was received in 11/23 so hopefully we both hear something soon next week maybe 🤞🏼

Why did you send another application? I think that could really mess up things. 🥴

Yea, lots of didnt do that. The kick back is dependant on who picks up your file, hopefully you get a good agent like we all do!

Also, good news on my wife's drivers license as well so will easily keep that extended.

i would have contacted uscis before anything. Getting an RFE or package sent back is better than 2 applications to delay everything, because now they have to figure out why there are 2 of the same....just saying

I found a presentation on the uscis website about lock boxes. It says their job is to accept the correct fee, scan the application, data entry, and check the applications are signed and dated correctly. The reasons for rejection can be-

incorrect fee

missing signature or dated incorrectly (sooner than 90 days for example)

It also gave guidance on things of lower importance like - only single side printing, no staples, avoid originals and odd size pages. I made all of these mistakes. I called USCIS level 2 officer and he told me that it is to make life easier at the lockbox and is not something that will cause the application to be rejected.

My package was sent off and received 11/23, and our credit card was charged at 4:23 this morning! The sigh of relief was unreal. Hopefully everyone starts getting some traction here soon!🙂
