Hi, this is my first post here. Please help, I'm so confused!!!

USPS tacking number says my I-751 app was delivered Nov 30 at the Arizona lockbox, but 35 days later my post office money order was still not cashed, no receipt number and nothing in the mail. I called USCIS and they said it's normal to take this long now due of covid, but because my GC expires this Sunday, 01/10, they put an urgent request for a follow up from an office and today someone called me and he said it's NOT normal that it's taking this long and I should send everything again and cancel the money order I sent with the first application.

I'm so confused!!! I was told by a couple different agents on the phone that it's normal to take this long and I should just wait, and now an officer said it is not normal and I should resend. I honestly prefer just waiting at this point because if I send everything again it may take even longer, any suggestions of what I should do??? Thank you!!

Hi Natc,

My app was delivered on the same day as yours. I tried to call USCIS but could not get through the automated voice system. How did you get to talk to a live person over the phone without a case number?

Thank you for sharing. But that would explain if there were a delay in May. I noticed the September google file, the timeline was pretty normal. The delay appeared to start around late Sep, early Oct. That’s why I highly suspect it’s related to the flooding EB3 I485 applications.

I'm new to this forum, but I been reading it since the beginning of November. Here's an update from my end:

Package Received: 11/16

Check cashed: 01/06 (this morning)

Things are indeed moving. Just remember to be patient due to delays from COVID and the holiday season.

Guys. We finally had our check cashed last night! I will enter this information into the spreadsheet . For some quick information here our App was received at the AZ lockbox on 11/16/20. Check cashed 1/6/21. So it took 51 days of waiting. Hang in there guys. We will be calling today to hopefully get a receipt number.

Has anyone seen any receipts at all since late December?  Our package was received on November 24th and it's been crickets.  I know it's delayed, but it seems like all processes and sending of receipts has frozen.  I don't see anything posted recently.

Actually...now I do see people updating timelines above, but boy it seems to be slow.  Our 90 day window is closing soon!

So if your license expires when your green card expires, can you go renew your license once you get your NOA? How does that work?

it may differ state to state but I think you can in Mass once you have proof ( your NOA).

Texas drivers license is not tied to GC expiry. I got 7yrs when I showed my valid conditional green card.
which state do you live in? Call/visit your local DMV

Yes. Even with expired GC and NOA you should be able to renew your DL. This is the case for many of the states with restrictions tied to your GC

Same for Florida residents too. Florida residents get a 10 year DL, not tied to GC expiration.

Hi everyone, very grateful for this forum because it is keeping my anxieties in check. My package was received by Lockbox on 11/24/2020, no response yet. My GC expires on 15th Jan. But I realized I have not written "N/A" in all 1-751 blank boxes. Silliest mistake of the year that is going to cost me so much delay :( . Does anyone know from experience if they might accept this application? I have already sent another application on January 4th but that will take a LONG time to be picked up :(
