Was secretly hoping they would get mine by the end of the week since some with a package delivery date of Dec 12 had been processed, but no, nada, zilch 😞

How did you folks attach the payment, those of you anyway who wrote a check? Did you attach the check with a paper clip on the top of the package or put it in an envelope? Now I am second guessing every single decision and their effects made when compiling the package 😳

Also, do you know if the looming gov’t shutdown is going to affect USCIS, too? I would think no since they are mainly funded by the filing fees, but is anyone more informed on this matter?

I had my check on the cover of my documents with a binder clip holding it as the first document

hang in there. Am sure u will hear Monday or Tuesday

government shutdowns doesn’t affect uscis

its funded with dollars that u and I file with

I received my NOA today but it came from Potomac center. Anyone know why?

I thought they’d send the NOAs out from Phoenix. Funny story, NOA came in 3 days after check was cashed, so quick (the Potomac service center is very close to us geographically, I couldve just dropped the application off there instead of sending it all the way to Phoenix!)

Application recieved:11/12/2020

check cashed: 12/16/20

NOA received in mail: 12/19/20

Congrats! My application was received 11/13 and my check hasn’t even been cashed yet! So weird how a day earlier makes tons of difference sometimes with USCIS! Hopefully I hear some good news by Wednesday!

Your NOA comes from the service center that is closest to you. So am guessing y'all are closer to VA than anywhere else.
am WAC- for those in California
Then cases can move around as needed - so you will see folks being transferred due to case load, etc.

USCIS Office Locations have the following 3-digit codes:
MSC, NBC – National Benefits Center; (Lee's Sumit, MO)
EAC,VSC – Vermont Service Center
WAC, CSC – California Service Center
LIN, NSC – Nebraska Service Center;
SRC – Texas Service Center
YSC – Potomac Service Center. (Arlington, VA)

Any movement on applications after 11/12? Seems like they've (i.e., USCIS) paused there for a bit.

You might be on to something. lol
But Day is still young. From all indications, USCIS seems to process everything during the day and process payments at night.

So we won't know till tomorrow if movement occurred for today (nothing happens on Sundays)

I will also think this will be a slower week with the holidays.

Nope! I’ve been hoping to hear something before Christmas Eve but I think realistically we will probably have to wait until after Christmas! Received Date: 11/13

It really is horrific
Who would have though waiting almost 2 months to be told a stupid cheque is cashed. ayyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeee

I personally think that at this rate, we should all get our cases transferred and approved on the spot! 😁

Happy Holidays folks

Anyone filed after 15 Nov got your check cashed? 🥺I'm officially losing my mind here, never been so anxious to get $ out of my bank account.

So it seems like that’s officially the case! Applications were being processed by received date in somewhat of a pattern, but that has stopped for 5 days now. I will call today and hope they’ll have an update!
