Finally some good news for late October and November filers. My credit card was charged $680 today (12/04/2020) at 9:17 PM CST.

Received date: 11/02/2020

I will call USCIS next week to get the receipt number. Hopefully they should be able to provide it. And I hope I will receive the NOA in mail before Christmas.

Good luck everyone!

That is really a good news, So I guess they are taking way longer than usual. You should get the NOA soon, by end of next week

If you are November filer, can you update that Google sheet? Just noticed someone else got their check cashed by USCIS

I’m lucky the lady at our local DMV got confused or something. I had read everywhere online that they give you a driver’s license that is valid up to the expiration date on your green card. However, when I got my DL, it came out with an expiration date 10 years from the issuing date. Maybe she didn’t know how to handle it as I live in a rural area in central Florida, and they might not get a lot of conditional green cards. Hopefully, this won’t cause any issues, although I don’t know if I should renew my DL once I become a citizen. Does anyone know if you need to get a new DL when you become a citizen or they remove your conditions?

Lucky!!! If I were you, I wouldn't bother to update RMV/DMV, since driver license does not prove your legal status anyway. They are referencing immigration system to prove. So long as immigration system is updated, I assume you are good.

@Rhode Island MB - I am in the same boat as you. I am in MA with a license expiring in Dec but GC expiring in Feb. I will be giving them a call to figure this out. Please do let me know if you have any luck with this.

Sounds good. I tried to book an appointment prior to DL expiration, but there was no appointment available.

I will give them a call on Monday. Will keep you in the loop. Let me know if you heard anything as well. :)

The USCIS Green Card, Conditional or Not, will always give full validity driving license in California. The USCIS Pink/Red card Employment Authorization Card will give you limited term license.

Reason: Conditional or not, Green Card is just proof of LPR status, not status itself. Lost Green Card, Expired, Damaged might get you in trouble while travelling internationally, but only an Immigration Judge will & can revoke the LPR Status. Otherwise, till Judge revokes, you are an LPR. Limited ones are people whose status expires, often their SSN Card will have restrictions wording.

Green Full, Red Limited.

I'm honestly kicking myself for waiting so long to file. My conditional greencard expires next week. With how things are looking my husband will have to play chauffeur for a bit because I won't be able to get my drivers license renewed until I get NOA. The only positive thing is that I called the DMV in our town and they confirmed that an extension letter counts as proof of immigration status. I was expecting (and still kinda am) for that to be a headache with half the people working at the DMV not knowing that a NOA counts.

Don’t kick yourself too hard

no one knew it would take 45 days to get a check cashed!

it Was literally 6 days in September.

hang in there. It’s coming

At least let us thank God we’re not gonna be like January filers or something that might wait 2+ months at the rate things are going. 😂😂

You’re probably looking at the week of the 14th, if nothing else changes. Could be a few days longer or shorter

For those that submitted a Cover letter....did the Immigrant spouse write it out  or did the USC. I have seen cover letters examples written by the US citizen, and that looked weird to me. The immigrant wants their conditions removed, so isn't this their petition to remove them. Or does it matter? I want to submit it tomorrow correctly, and not be someone that speaks for my husband, unless this is suppose to come from me.

Just called USCIS today, the rep said wait time is expected to be 4-6 weeks right now.

Mine was sent 10/30, received by lockbox 11/2. No update yet (no check cashed, no notification, no NOA).

Based on what I've read in the past, it shouldn't be too important. I wrote my name instead of my wife's (green card holder) and not even sure I signed it. My understanding is that the cover letter is not a requirement.
