I’m sorry to hear some of you are having troubles. After much waiting, I literally just noticed on the USCIS website that an interview for my N-400 has been scheduled for August! 😄

I also have a ROC pending with no changes since last December, when it said it was transferred to the NBC after I applied for naturalization. I do hope it is a combo interview so my husband and I can be done with this nightmare of uncertainty that is immigrating to America. Do you guys think they’ll tell me whether it is a combo interview if I give USCIS a call?

My wife has her interview tomorrow for N-400. I believe, it should be a combo interview. What are the chances they let me in the building (Me, USC) ?  Her notice doesnt state I should go to the interview. I am going anyhow. What do you guys think could happen? Will they call me in for the combo interview?

Thanks

You must be there if it's a combo interview.  Most probably they will start with you alone and then bring your wife in and let you go for the N400 part.

I didn't have combo but had the i751 and my husband (US citizen) was interviewed for 40 minutes before me. So be sure to review all the submitted documents specifically any trips outside the country with exact days. You never know who is going to do the interview. We were there for hour and 20 minutes.

Good luck 🤞

1h20min? WOW. I will be there, for sure. Hope they don't do a stokes interview. Been married since May 2018.

When I had my interview last week they didn't let my husband in only becaue of increased Covid Level in county. They said they allowed to enter a spouse earlier so you can try. My husband also came with me but he was waiting outside in a car

I am guessing they wont let me in, but i am going just in case. Did you go for ROC o Naturalization? Covid is high also in Montgomery FO.

Most likely yes, back in Mid may in Sacramento I was allowed to enter and stay with my spouse throughout both the i751 and n400 combo interview.

If it is a combo interview you must be there, if Covid allows you will be admitted to attend the interview.

I did not expect to be allowed to attend the n400 interview but I was allowed to stay, we started with the i751 then moved to the n400 part.

That is surprising to me...I usually hear they ask the USC to leave at the time of N-400. Thanks for you info. I am more a nervous Nelly than my wife right now. I want her to be over this tomorrow. ROC, Citizenship and Oath, if possible.

Hi all:

After so much trouble with ROC....we applied for N-400 under the 3 year rule. I guess that pushed our applications through. Me USC, wasn't allowed to go inside the Montgomery  FO. My wife went in and did her thing and it wasn't like 30min and I receive a phone call from IO. She was in process of doing her Oath. This all happened between 2pm and 2:30pm today! We are so excited. If you need more detail I will gladly answer any questions. Our journey is over with immigration. What a relief!!!

Hope all of you here get a fast, friendly and expedited IO like ours.

Congrats!

Thank you, hopefully  you ROC gets moving also. We filed N-400 to push the ROC through. We were planning for my wife to do this anyway. Thank God we did.

The officer was really nice, but like I said before, since the notice is for N-400 only the immigrant  was let inside, even the waiting area was not open for me to sit.

They asked my wife if I was there and later I got a phone call to look through a window and she was doing her oath.

Good luck.

Hi All,

I have I-751 filed for CR1 category with MSC service center. My 24 month green card extension expires in a few months but still haven't heard anything about interview or another extension. I also filed for N400 in January 2022 so expecting a combo interview. I am planning to go out of the country while the 24 month extension expires. What should I do in this case? Also, any idea why there's no news on the CR1 visa? Appreciate the help. Thanks.

I-551 stamp is what you need and don't leave for too long.

I had my N-400 interview today. They approved both of my cases. Naturalization and removal of conditions. Oath ceremony was also conducted. This happened in San Diego California. Thankyou so much to everyone for all the help in this process.

Was your spouse present for the ROC interview?
