Came here on a CR-1 in January 2019.

Getting there, slowly but surely...  (I hope )

Perhaps someone who is more enlightened can give a more accurate reply, but I had understood that files are usually moved between service centres to balance their load. Let’s say Vermont has two zillion cases, and Texas only one zillion, so according to their present staffing/workload transfer half a zillion cases from Vermont to Texas.

Not sure why this would happen AFTER the file is ready to be interviewed, though. Did you move to the jurisdiction of another Field Office by any chance? Like here people living within the next ZIP code (like quarter of a mile to half a mile away) were previously assigned to a different office from us.

See https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-a-uscis-office/field-offices for a Field Office locator at the bottom of the page.

Two days ago it said ready to be scheduled for an Interview at the field office. Then suddenly yesterday it says a new USCIS center has jurisdiction of your case. so i am very confused now

This is so weird… I was expecting to wait at the very least 7-8 months for the interview. And now TWO DAYS after my case was ready for scheduling, it was scheduled for an interview. Either this is really good or really bad 🤷🏼‍♂️ USCIS—consistent in being inconsistent 😳

Hi, Theres is no changes at all. on August 24 I sent a new request outside normal processing time, supposedly I have to receive an answer September 15 (we see). The N400 Form is ready with all my evidence I'm just waiting to apply in OCT 30 2021. I have talked with some people about the waiting time, but in general we are all waiting more than usual. my last update was Jan 22 2021 my fingerprints relating.

If there is any change in the next few days I will let you know, and please let me know if there is a change in yours.

Heyy. Hope all is good. Just an update from our end. Still no progress. We sent 2 requests for outside processing time but both says that we cannot provide any time frame. Src is approving March and April so we are not sure why there is still SRC filers from November like us. Did anything happen to your case? Also we are thinking about applying for N400. Did you follow any guide when you were preparing or what should we look for when applying next month?

Co-asking on this.

Can I send in an N400 application while still waiting on the approval of my I-751?

Please I will love a definite Yes or No response on this for anyone that knows (or has done/is doing) this .

Long form: I applied for the removal of conditions in November 2020 (90 days before expiration, being Feb 2021. Fortunately or unfortunately, I got YSC so it’s been a long wait.

So by logic I should be able to apply for citizenship in Feb 2022 and using the 90 day rule, I think I can apply by November 2021. Is this true?

Does anyone have a list of documents/checklist for documents to submit for the N400?

Thanks everyone and stay strong and positive.

Hello, unfortunately there has been no change :(, my case is exactly the same.
My N400 application is ready to be sent on Friday. The  application is very simple to do,

and the evidence is practically the same as the I-751, you need to send evidence of the last 3 years of marriage and proof that your spouse  is a citizen. copy of your green card on both sides and a copy of your receipt (the 18-month extension)
The payment of $725.
You need all the trips you did outside the USA when you left and when you re-entered.

if you or your spouse have been divorced or any criminal record,
is a combination of questions between forms I-751 and I-130, if you have a copy in your record just go back and enter the same information. If you need more information for your specific case just go to the official USCIS website they have a lot of information.
I made a consultation with a lawyer just to avoid any inconvenience, she said the best thing in my case is to apply for citizenship since my case is very delayed.
Let me know if there is any change in your case or if you need help with your application :).

I hope they will approve our cases soon.

Hey 👋🏻, When I answered your post on Monday I never thought to checking the status of my case, I already lost the faith and something completely crazy happens.

just before submitting my N400 application I thought about checking the status of my case just out of curiosity and I found this.

Now I will wait a few days to receive my green card before sending my application.

We are super happy for you!!!!! That must be a nice surprise. Honestly you gave us hope that it might be approved soon. Good things are happening after all. Good luck with the n400 and we might send you a message once we prepare out papers to just verify some things. Again congrats!

Congrats!

Where’s your local office that you’ll be interviewing at?

Wife had to get fingerprints which was done 4/9/21

Website was updated to say fingerprints completed the same day she did them

Zero updates or progress since.

Hoping to get waiver since we've now been married for over 4 years so this entire process is just a bureaucratic waste of time.

Seems they would start granting waivers to clear the backlog especially certain nationalities.   One could argue (and be correct) that my wife's passport is more valuable than my US passport.

Curious if your interview was scheduled yet?    Hopefully we start to see progress for those of us now over the 1 year waiting threshold.

Los Angeles, CA.

Earlier this year our field office was Santa Ana, CA, but they must have recently changed which ZIP codes are assigned and where. Now the USCIS Field Office locator shows LA instead of Orange County.
