It wasn't about the legal case. It was about driving the Bronco prior to getting arrested. At low speed, surrounded by cops with nowhere to go. No way out and the whole world watching and asking what is this idiot doing.

Maybe you are too young to remember that part.

I thought black folk always got shot when resisting arrest

It's important to note that 101 Million mail-in ballots were received in this election compared to 33 Million in 2016, and Biden's lead in the popular vote is 5 Million?

it is as if... something happened in 2020, that caused people to not want to be in crowded places and try to do things remotely...

i wonder... did something like that happened this year?

oh has anyone found out the issue with 2 million illegal votes back in 2016? maybe we can compare that with 2020 illegal votes as well?

They are 2-32 in court cases. The frauds have certainly been exposed.

maybe they should file another lawsuit to overturn and flip that number "2-32" to something more favorable, "32-2"... can ask ardent supporters to donate for that cause.

So who IS Powell working for exactly if she's being trotted out at press conferences by people who are working on the Strike Force? Did she just wander into the briefing room and no one had the heart to tell her she wasn't invited to speak? I'm so confused.

She is working for herself supposedly.

I appreciate your dedication to reminding everyone that systemic racism is an important issue.  Unlike the imaginary issue of systemic voter fraud.

We had a Lt. Governor's race here in NC where the Democrat candidate kept saying that there is systemic racism and that the police are racist. All the while the Republican candidate said there he has never experienced systemic racism and the police are by in large not racist. Needless to say even though the Republican candidate has been pretty bombastic in the past as a private citizen he ended up winning over a seasoned Democrat candidate.

I guess if you listen to her talk, that explanation is very plausible.

"Working for herself" basically means "professional crank" -- a lawyer only works for herself if she's an idiot enough to take herself on as a client.

Up until a few hours ago, it looks like she had another client. I honestly don't blame them for ditching her.

Probably more of a statement on how partisan we are than whether or not people believe systemic racism exists.

I also wouldn't tie those two statements together like that. Saying systemic racism exists acknowledges reality. Saying the police are racist is abusive from any politician. Obviously there are bad police officers, and we should find ways to address that specific issue, but you don't do that by labeling the entire police force as racist. Politicians need to realize that it's very easy for a pertinent message to get lost in a bunch of stupid rhetoric or derogatory remarks.
