  No one should be threatened or intimidated over election certification. They all have a job to do, and if people don't agree they have the legal system. I have seen examples of this happening on both sides of the poitical spectrum, and hopefully they go after the people who made threats and hold them accountable.

I think the fact that our lives dont hinge on VJ is lost by some, who to them , this is thier world.

It was interesting, one of the people making threats was a recently elected State House member from Hamtramck.  He was the one that brought up the school where one of the Board members sends their children.

I appreciate your views and service too, just try not to get caught up in the petty conflicts. You've contributed for a while now and your perspective would be missed. I've done my best to stay within the confines of the rules here knowing there's some lately that are solely posting to antagonize. 

 

Also, the election isn't over yet until either Trump officially concedes or until early January in the usual joint session of Congress certifying the election (or where we'd find out if there'a  contested election). The odds we don't know by then are low (but far more possible today than any other election in my lifetime), and the chances of delaying it slightly beyond the joint session in the event of a contested election are remarkably lower. I was hoping this was something that would be resolved on election day, but like many other things this year, it's required reasonable adjustments in a fight to try and ensure election integrity.

 

 

Whether they're successful or not electorally, their heroic dissent and fight to ensure fair and free elections at least showed the public what's at stake, and the personal sacrifices being made shouldn't be wasted.

I just... I mean, there's a TOS, and we're supposed to stick to the TOS. If something violates the TOS, there's consequences. There should be consequences. I learned from my own disciplining quite a bit about turning down the heat when I'm irritated by things I read on here. I try to interact with people I disagree with reasonably or with humor or by trying to engage in good faith.
