So if there are discrepancies about those ballots in that one race then doesn't it make sense that there would be discrepancies all the way up the ballot as well?

  The recount is complete in Georgia. There are no other discrepancies. A recount uses an alternate method of counting (or a manual recount). It is the verification process. 

 

  If you are talking about doing so in other states, the venue is to ask for (and possibly pay for) a recount if needed. There are statutory time limits for doing that though, and we have just about reached them. If the Trump campaign was serious about recounts, they should have focused on that. Instead they wasted too much time with unfounded lawsuits which were never going to accomplish anything tangible. Now they don't have time to actually be able to proceed with recounts. I think they knew all that though.

To be fair (Layla's trademarked term), Trump raised a lot of money off of Trump fans from those lawsuits, so I wouldn't say "nothing tangible".

  Nothing tangible in terms of the affect on the election though. As I said, Trump does know what he is doing here. As always, it's about what else he can get out of it.

How do we know though that is the issue? They might have done a recount but not a complete audit

well, actually you are wrong about that.

i want us to prosper as well, i wanted it when trump won in 2016. i gave him a chance to prove he wasnt as bad as he seemed to be. i was wrong.

fact is i still have this hope we can all just move forward together, but thats not happening.

 

there is plenty of blame to go around, and not all anti trump people are evil socialists who hate america because we dont like trump.

that is subjective to each individual's experiences

 

the only reason i am better off now than i was 4 years ago is not because of trump, but because i worked for it, and i planned for it over the past decade. i certainly did not feel any more prosperous or safe the last 4 years. that last part is pretty important too. the feeling safer.

your experiences are different than mine and i wont tell you that you are wrong.

Yes, everyone's measure is subjective, but the overall feeling of being better off under a President running for re-election was much higher for Trump (56%) vs any of the others in recent history.

I actually DO believe that, and have said it on here before -- he had the chance to be a hero to people who don't like or respect him. He had the chance to make us the world leader in thwacking this virus down. We're the world leader in many COVID19 related things but not that.
