I’m pretty sure we are talking about the same case.  Delivery extension?  Due to postal delays?

If so, the courts are likely going to view that the damage to the disenfranchised voter is real and measurable while the damage to the campaign is frivolous.  There might even be some evidence based on postal service activity under direction from the Trump administration that the disenfranchisement was intended.

As to the case related to the ballot inspections the poll-watchers implied they weren’t allowed inside grudgingly admitted that in fact they were, which incensed the judge.

Now Ima ask seriously - is there one I missed (related to Pa)

Me personally - that’s why I step up, hit a booth, vote in person.

The overarching issue at hand is whether or not ballots PA received 3 days after the election will have been presumed to be (regardless of postmark) valid. The state passed legislation long ago saying its not valid past 8pm election day. The Democrats sued to extend allowing ballots because "covid" regardless of the law. PA supreme court decided on its own to agree with Democrats, lets make it 3 days. So the court overturned law. SCOTUS in a 4-4 decision chose not to take up the case (yet), but ordered them to keep the piles separate, and until today, PA didn't make much effort to demonstrate they did, so Alito hammered them with a "you better, or else" notice.

So assuming they even take up the case.. SCOTUS will be looking at whether or not the state supreme court had the authority to remake election laws, with consideration of the time of the change only a few weeks before the election. If they take up the case there's a high probability they toss out the state supreme court thing. Validity of the ballots is also in question, and if there winds up any evidence separation was not properly followed, this could result in a ton of ballots invalidated. Also the general validity of the ballots because of the election law and the supreme court order that basically resulted in all ballots after election day being tossed. The number of these ballots I think are small, but if you combine that with the observer issue (not merely if they were/weren't allowed in the room, but that they were not respecting a court order about 6 feet and making them be 15, 25+ feet away where they couldn't observe ballots or challenge them, which they may incorporate into it, this part could be very devastating. There's lastly another impending lawsuit involving thousands of dead voters that almost certainly goes the GOP's way (this is among the easiest things to prove), not sure if it'll even be in this or might be in the lower courts, but that's also not enough, I don't think, to change election outcomes.

If they refuse to take it up, there are remedies the GOP still has by delaying to a House vote, or by certifying their own electors, but these would be extreme, and probably only if they really have proof of something and are getting no relief from the court as there are likely career consequences to that. Anyway, all of this is just PA.

Regardless, the attempts to increase the chances fraud happen wouldn't make me feel bad if a decision resulting in a different election outcome occurs.

Let me also add to the above, when I went into the Army, I took the following oath: "I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."

Until we have a legitimate,  lawfully elected president, I dont care who the "media" claims to be president, I still honor that oath, regardless of my current status in the military. I support and defend the Constitution, as it was written, and the LEGALLY elected President of the United States, with no extraneous bullcrap involved

Trump won't be the president after January 5th. The only thing your oath binds you to do at that time is escort him to the front lawn.

Remember if the election is still in dispute after January 5th, the speaker of the house assumes the role of president. In that case your orders will come from President Pelosi until the next president is sworn in.

Actually a lot of people got deferments during the Vietnam war era. It wouldn't have been an issue for most people. Trump made it one with his brutal and really unnecessary attacks on people like John McCain. I don't know if it hurt him in the reelection, but it sure didn't help him. Just one more thing he brought down on himself really.

McCain's service during Vietnam was admirable but his time in the Senate was less than admirable. He was a war monger and loved sending people to war. He even wanted us to go to war in Syria against Assad. Did you know at one time in Syria McCain had the CIA funding/supporting the FSA, while the DOD was supporting/funding the PKK. All of which was at war with each other and Assad.

Also I don't think that McCain brought up his deferments but someone else did. Of course it didn't help him with reelection because the globalist lincoln project kept advertising and making stuff up about him

Right, Trump criticized McCain and made disparaging comments about his military service, which led other people to bring up Trumps deferment. I am saying it likely wouldn't have been an issue otherwise. There are many presidents who didn't serve in the military. It's not really a big issue for most people.

This is right, as a typical neocon, no lives mattered to him at all, whether it was the lives of Americans he sold out in his service, the lives of people in the Middle East ruined by American foreign policy, and especially the lives of Americans he sent to their demise in Iraq and elsewhere as you pointed out, for the benefit of him and enriching his little buddies. That's what American lives are worth eh? No service makes that acceptable, ever. The last straw was him working with people in the bureaus to subvert an election with this Russiagate hoax because of his jealousy of watching a guy not in his little group of political friends ascend to the top, then undermine an elected President working with those trying to overthrow him. I think cancer immediately following that was not only karma, but too kind a comeuppance, along with watching his unhinged efforts fail. That's as polite an opinion I think I can give.

Trump's remarks disparaging McCains military service were beyond inappropriate and undignified.

Whatever he was or wasnt if you got the cajones to pilot a jet being flung of a ship in the ocean, your a bad " shut your mouth" in my book.
