I love your optimism, I don't think I can share it though. His cult will continue to follow him unconditionally

not for very long. oh sure there will still be the q anon remnants and the white supremacists, but they will find others to glom onto.

I dont actually see trump living long enough for it to make a difference. he is not the world's healthiest physical specimen and he may still have aftereffects from covid, and all the legal issues he will face  after Jan 20

i think a lot of the people who voted for him were not because they bought into his cult of personality, but that they felt they had no other choice because they are still in a bad place economically or they would vote for whoever had the (R) next to their name. i dont hold any sort of grudges or malice against those people and i hope that someone somewhere in the democratic party will finally talk to them and just listen to them because they feel ignored. honestly i am hoping that people in the progressive wing will do it so they understand that being a democrat in new york is much different than being a democrat in Texas or Mississippi

The folks who will see higher taxes are the folks earning over $300k and they'll be fine either way. If they already support Biden, it's not because of taxes anyway.

Your average Joe will not see increases.

Didn’t Joe state one of his plans is to reverse the tax cuts under Trump?  A lot of folks making less than 300k got those tax cuts despite what was reported?  If Joe gets the Senate in January which is a distinct possibility, this along with the GND/Marxist plan would definitely be on the docket given Chuck Schumer’s threats.

I read the WHO report on the virus in December 2019. I reposted it here. What did they hide from you specifically? I've had this argument with several people in the last year. The Trump administration was anti China from the start. Doesn't mean they are the boogie man. There are conventional ways to engage China with the help of our allies, but we drove our allies away too.

It's going to take time, and it won't be easy, but people will eventually come to the realization that the Trump administration was feeding them BS and they just ate it up. Then we can move on.

They didn't hide anything from me specifically because I was following the news coming out of China. I was the one warning people about this thing last year. I will try to find the link talking about how the who misled the US about it

Spare us.  We know who misled the US as soon as the tapes from Trump’s February interviews came out.

Not being OK with one thing an organization does doesn't mean that the whole organization needs to be dismantled. That's even more simplistic than "abolish the police" as a response to police violence that Trumpers have a problem with (and that Biden and most liberals don't support anyway). The correct response to a mistake is not to pull out of WHO but Trump needed someone to blame for his own failures, so WHO it was.

The WHO wasn't dismantled FYI. Also it seems that alot more people than Trumpers have a problem with the whole "Defund/abolish the police narrative". Which even the Democrat congressional reps are recognizing now

Spare us what? You guys were still on impeachment and calling Trump xenophobic for the China travel ban.

never heard of black bloc

we do not have a need for antifa if people on the left were not constantly being harassed or intimidated by people driving cars through crowds or counter"protestors" bringing guns

Your average Joe will not see increases.

This is always a lie. Tax increases wind up across the board. It's just like with gun grabbing. It starts off as "reasonable restrictions" and when the populace eventually accepts it, it snowballs into something even greater, like banning classes of firearms or accessories.. semi-auto's, rifles, handguns, bump stocks, larger mags. Thankfully we have history regularly repeating itself since I was born and loudmouths in the Brady Foundation telling us the ultimate goal is widespread acceptance of banning guns. It's the same with taxes, the left like to say they're only taxing the wealthy but institute taxes on everyone. It only took Obama months after extending the Bush tax cuts to institute Obamacare which was a huge tax burden on Americans to pay for overpriced insurance, and a litany of other mandatory healthcare taxes such as taxes on medical devices (making them even more expensive), taxes on drug companies (making prescriptions more expensive), taxes on insurers (which along with the mandate caused premiums to skyrocket), along with payroll tax increases for Medicare.

The average Joe will see tax increases, and more importantly, will see the cost of things they need rise, putting them in a position to rely more on the government to save them from a problem the government caused in the first place. The reason the average worker liked Trump was because he put more money in their pocket. Disposable income means investment and spending in one's local environment (making it locally cyclical), more beneficial for the countless SME's/SMM's, which means more local jobs, rather than investment into mega corps which primarily spend millions/billions on foreign investment and political favors.

The same people coincidentally complaining about all this wealth inequality are electing people who cause that distribution to be even more excessive, to the detriment of everyone else. If it wasn't for such a contrived tax code you'd not have companies like Amazon skirting so much in taxes while the richest raked in record profits during a time where things were shut down and 1/4 to 1/5 of Americans were unemployed. The left were in a frenzy about accounting tricks Trump's CPAs performed but waltzed right by the legislation in their own blue states that caused it. That's TDS for ya.

Well the Boogaloo Boys aren't anything related to white supremacy at all. They are all about thinking there is going to be unrest and want to be prepared for it. Also the proud boys are not racists or white supremacist at all. If they find out a member is that then they kick them out of the organization. Many chapters are predominantly minority anyway, not to mention the president is Afro-Cuban.

Many of those people "driving through crowds" are only doing it because they blocked the road and are literally only going 5mph. They still get beat on and pulled out of the car

Edit. I have done extensive research on both groups beyond superficially looking them up on the internet

Not every Trump voter is a member of the cult, I'm aware of that. But I don't see his base (the MAGA cult, not regular people who vote for him begrudgingly) abandoning him. I hope I'm not wrong and you're right.

You gotta look into his plan in more detail.

Also, you're certainly aware that the tax cuts for the lower brackets under Trump's tax law are temporary, right?

thank you for your response.

we dont have to agree, and thats cool.

now lets find stuff that we can start to work together on so we can all have a better tomorrow

we are all Americans and we may disagree on a lot of things, we love our country and believe it is the best place on earth. we arent enemies, even though there are people on either side who may think so. we need to moderate that noise and calm everyone down and get to work. there are a lot of challenges we face as a country and it would be a lot easier if we did it as a united people.

i will be the first to admit that i have both given and received some harsh rhetoric over the past 4 years, but its gotten to the point that i realized thats not the way forward and it it is counterproductive.

Did I ever defend "abolish the police"? Read my comment carefully.
