As @Steeleballz said, it’s largely a popularity contest. Unfortunately for Trump, he’s basically pissed off everyone in Europe. Trump could single-handedly cure cancer and he wouldn’t even receive an honorable mention. Maybe there’s some kind of award in Russia he could go after.

It’s why I put a smiley face. No I don’t think Trump set our troops up for the Russians like a turkey shoot. But I know that had Obama been the president, the right would be screaming bloody murder for not acting on it. As it was, the party of “support the troops” sat by and said nothing.

Fox news Sunday morning with Chris Wallace is one of the few news shows I watch. He is pretty even handed and asks tough questions to both sides of the ditch. One of the few journalist that still practices journalism. Not saying he is perfect by any means. Tucker, Cuomo, Hannity, Lemon  are all just absurd dog howling from the depths of their respective ditches.

Wallace has been an establishment crony and its been obvious since Ron Paul, doubly since Trump.. I think the ditch theory needs a bit more nuance.

Increasingly, the evening goat rodeo on the Cable news cycle has nothing to do with news, it is some sort of alternative universe where you build your own echo-system that feeds information affirming what you think.
