You can stand for the country and your way of thinking without being derogatory about it. What I am finding is that many people hate it when you counter their arguments with valid points and use the word "Sir or Ma'am" at the end of the sentence. It drives them crazy and makes me laugh

We have a ton of Brunswick stew leftover from Thanksgiving. My mother decided that she didn't want to do a turkey this year and just did Brunswick stew. We are doing a turkey locally this coming weekend with us and a older couple that weren't able to celebrate Thanksgiving.

Not sure about Satle, but Seattle does not have a Sherrif (or deputy ) as it is a municipality (Sargeant, Captain etc.. Maybe your friend is a deputy in King County.
