Hello all, After waiting since March 16th our interview is scheduled. Just waiting on the notice to arrive. Any advice on interview check list? Do I need I-944 DS-5540 or such. Rather be ahead of the game than empty handed. We filled end of 2018 prior public charge if that does anything. Thank you kindly! Will keep you up to date.

Sean

Bring the originals of the IV documents that you uploaded to the NVC.  Bring additional relationship evidence, especially if you have more photos and evidence of being together and communicating after you submitted the I-130 petition. Bring a copy of the I-864 and tax return transcripts or return forms with W2s.

Thank you for your replay. What about public charge rule? I944?

That is for USCIS if you adjust status.  It does not apply to embassy interviews.

Also, a few months ago the state department stopped requiring DS-5540.

Are you adjusting status or filing spouse visa consular processing?.

I checked your profile and it seems you are in the middle of AOS.  I was a bit confused because you posted in the regular IR1/CR1 visa forum, which is typically for consular visa processing.  There is a separate AOS forum.

You do not need the I-944 if you applied before a cetain date - I believe Feb 2020 (not sure of the exact date).

Hope this clears things out ;)

Then you do not need the I-944.
