Hello,

so my husband had his second interview oath/fingerprints in July and was told to submit new medical along with a valid passport, which we did in august, today my husband received a call from the embassy asking to confirm that it was medical and passport that he mailed and if there’s an additional phone number for him, the guy on the phone stated he’s going to pass all my husband information to the officer for processing..on ceac our case went from refused to administrative processing and date updated. Any idea if this may FINALLLY be some good news after 17 months total of AP!!!!

Nobody can tell you anything. Its case by case and with Pakistan the wait can be a long time. Just gotta keep waiting

We’ve already been waiting 17 months in AP so well aware the wait is the longest at that embassy

I don’t recall saying that? Just curious if anyone else has had anything similar.

Administrative processing can take any where from few days to few months as it varies from case to case in your case since it was already on a long AP time duration so hopefully this time it won't be that long keep praying and stay positive it will be over soon inshallah

It’s alright, don’t mind the negative comments/people on here. There are a few that are like this on here and make you feel worse than you already do and then there are a few that make me feel happy. Just stay positive and you’ll hear some good news soon. I am currently in the same situation and no one will understand unless they have been through a really long AP. It is extremely difficult. I am getting very anxious because my fiancée had his second interview this past Thursday and now the consulate is waiting for the medical and police certificate to get to them.

Yeah honestly #### people are so ignorant! And nobody understands because they aren’t in the same situation. Being a married couple and not being able to be together and start our lives especially being married for almost 3 years really sucks! It doesn’t get easier especially when people say stupid . And we’ve submitted everything in August and it’s like we’re so close but still don’t have a guarantee like it’s so hard 😭🤯

Yeah that’s the attitude! Don’t mind anyone that puts you down.
How long did you wait in AP after the first interview? Have you tried emailing the embassy to get a case status update? What are they saying?

15 months after original interview they called my husband for a second interview in July and we submitted everything in August. The embassy called him this past Thursday to verify his phone number and also asked if there were any other original documents at the embassy they then told him they are handing over his documents to the consular officer. Our case status showed “refused” and then Thursday when he got the call it changed to administrative processing

Oh I see! Insha Allah you will hear something good soon. I know how hard it can be and I will keep you in my prayers.
