I am US citizen I am going to sponsor my father for the green card.i might need co-sponsor while filing for him because we are 3 people in family here including my son and my spouse so according to my calculation we should be making 32750$ minimum is that correct?

1.will embassy in Islamabad consider public charge rule before granting him visa?

2.do I need to purchase private heath insurance for my father before filing I-130 for him?

3.what documents needs to send initially to USCIS with form I-130?

4.at what stage would my father need Affidavit of support?

5.can my father in law become co-sponsor for his green card application?

6.how long would entire process take for him to get visa from Islamabad embassy after I file I-130 for him here with USCIS?

7.if I am get into nursing school after filing for him would that make it harder for him to get visa finally?

8.my spouse would be working even next year as well I might not be working if I get into nursing school will that be important?

What does your father do? Is this something he can do in the US?

Perhaps he want to run a shop here?

If he is willing and able to work that will be a point in his favor, regardless what he does. Many immigrants come in with not much education, and/or taking a step down in work from whatever they did before, but still work hard and make a living. Will he be able to work for at least ten years before retirement? (Thinking ahead to eligibility for SS and Medicare.)
