I didn't think STD testing was on the list?!

It was on the medical form, and they did it.  I didn't realize it was there either.

The case status was updated again to show interview scheduled for my wife and to wait for the letter to arrive. The children (6 and 14) status was not updated to show interview scheduled. What does that mean? They will get interviewed at a later date? Will they get interviewed together? Or they will not require interview? We are excited!

Congratulations on the new status. I believe the letter will have details, about who should attend the interview, but just assume for now that the kids are required as well. Good luck with everything!

Got the NOA today. Interview scheduled for December 29th. Now, what I don't understand is that the letter does not  mention the kids (6 and 14 yoa) who are part of the process to be part of the interview. It only mentions to bring their birth certificate among  other things.

Will they interview the kids at a later date or will they just approve everything together when my wife interviews?

Tourist visa:

AOS accepted June 09, 2020

Biometrics Oct 23, 2020

Interview scheduled Dec 29, 2020.

I would say, take them with you, in case they are not asked to go inside. Take an friend with you , who can keep an eye on them, while you are inside for the interview. If I was you, I would certainly take them.

That's what we are thinking about doing. If they tell us they can't go in, I guess they will have to wait in the car. The main question I have now is about the 693 medical. We will get my wife's done asap but don't know if we should do the kids since we don't know if they will be interviewed at a later date.

I can understand, it does involve extra money. I am not sure what to say, but getting the kids' medical examination will be anyway in your favor. You will have everything with you handy. In case it's not required at all, at least you will have the latest report of their medical status.

We decided to get the physical exam for all. For the moment we will leave the kids with a baby sitter while we go to the interview since the  appointment notice does  not mention anything about bringing them to the interview. We will however bring everything  related to them including the 944s which we didn't submit for them since at the time we did, there was a nationwide injunction and the 944 was not required.

Thank you.

We are nervous about the interview. When we met we liked each other very much and started seeing each other every weekend and holidays. We did not miss one weekend. She would spend the weekends with me doing many things together. Our relationship grew stronger by the minute. That is why I  didn't hesitate or had any doubts about asking her to marry me when I did.

We got married 9 months after we met and I am older than her.

For that reason we are nervous that the USCIS office might see that as too fast to have gotten married, etc. Also the age difference is a thought.

Our concern is that they might see our relationship as a sham and not a bona fide marriage.

We have tons of photos together as a family including her kids (two Halloweens & Xmas), zoo, many trips, vacations, miscellaneous photos around the house doing family things, etc.) credit card statements, online grocery receipts for orders placed by her and delivered to my house (our house) utility bills, health insurance, beneficiary of life insurance, kids school records showing me as a guardian, and car insurance all showing that we live together. I was  not able to add her to my bank account because they require her to have a social security number.

Do you think we have enough evidence for a bona fide marriage?

I am yet to hear about my own interview, so I can't say anything much. I would say, just be confident and calm, and produce evidences you would be asked for. Do mock interview with each other asking even some personal questions, along with basic information like birthday, birth place, job(s), family members, favorite foods, activities etc. The list is endless. It's normal to be nervous. I know, when I would get my interview scheduled, I would be nervous as you are. Just have faith!
