I-751 Case Status: Testing & Interview (Chicago)

I recently got an update on my I-751 case, it has now changed to "Testing and Interview" - "Your Case Is Ready to be Scheduled for an Interview". Has anyone else had a recent case change and experience with how long the wait might be to get an actual interview date? I am based in Chicago and presume they would be sending me to a Chicago field office.

TIMELINE:

(already applied for and received Permanent Residency Card)

Oct 2018 - Filed I-751

Aug 2019 - Biometrics

Sep 2020 - RFE (submitted)

Oct 2020 - Transfer of case from Nebraska to National Benefits Centre

Nov 2020 - Your Case is Ready to be Scheduled for an Interview

Hi There,

I experienced the same situation. I received the notice that my case is ready to be scheduled for Interview in August. It has been more than 2 months now and I have not heard back anything for a specific schedule. I am based in Chicago too.

I received the same status today for i751 and my visa type is Cr1

Chicago is my local office and I have been at "Ready to be scheduled for an interview" since March 2020, so you might still have quite a bit of waiting.

Edited: I re-read the original post, since your case was transferred to NBC from another office maybe your wait won't be as long. I submitted the i751 in Sept 2019 and my case has been handled by NBC from the start.
