First Name or Passport Given Name

Super quick question. I'm filling out the diversity visa entry for my dad. The application asks for "First Name" and then "Middle Name" (separate fields). However, his passport only shows "Given Name" (one field, with both his first name and middle name.)

 

What should I put in the application fields for "First Name" and "Middle Name" then? Should I put his passport "Given Name" only on the "First Name" and mark "no middle name" 

 

or

 

should I put his actual first name in "First Name" and his actual middle name in "Middle Name"?

 

I know it's probably a stupid question but I wouldn't want to mess this up for him.

Nevermind, I decided to put his first name in the first name field and middle name in the middle name field DESPITE both being in the same passport field as "given name"
