K1 Visa Expedite Request NVC

Hello Everyone.

So we sent a request to the NVC a few weeks ago to expedite our case.  They got in touch with the embassy in Juarez for us.  We provided our proof and they accepted our request today.  My question is has anyone else on the board been through this process recently with the embassy in Juarez Mexico and can provide any info?  They said they are sending our file immediately.  Any insight into possible turn around times once the file is received for them to schedule the interview?  Could it be as quick as a few days?  Thanks all!!

The issue is you requested an expidite at the NVC, and you got it, so they ship it to the embassy right away. That's the end of the expidite, in order to speed it up at the embassy, you will need to get a expidite approved there also. Contact the embassy after they received your petition and see if you can get a expidite interview. But reading the letter it looks like it might get expidited at the embassy, but you still have to contact them separately from NVC.

The email says the embassy accepted the case for expedited processing.  Sounds to me like the embassy already approved the expedite request or else they would have denied it and told the NVC not to send the file.  In prior emails, the NVC told me they can't expedite a case.  That is up to the embassy to request the file from them.  Am I missing something?  Thanks for the advise and help.

I think you will find most of your questions answered with the following information and links.

You should think about joining your VJ sub forum for all things dealing with the US Embassy in Mexico most there will help answer your questions for the processing of your visa using their personal experience.

Once you get your approval (NOA2 text message or email), you should also check in with your country's sub-forum to get a better understanding of the process for the Embassy that you will be interviewing with, and to get direct answers from those who have completed the steps you are about to at the US Embassy - Juarez Mexico.

Get the Juarez K1 Embassy instructions at http://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/K1/CDJ - Ciudad Juarez.pdf (Spanish) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cBWgGJr4a5ay3b4OV28_dC3pgf63ZUr-/view?usp=sharing (English) as this is your bible needed to complete and receive your visa. The required documents are included and use this website as a checklist. Once you have completed or gathered the required documents, you'll be ready for your interview.

Finally, READ the pages on the US Embassy website for your country so that you are up to speed.

One last place to check for information would be the VJ Wiki found here: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Special:AllPages

This is an unbelievably detailed and well thought out map to find many of the various locations you will need to visit for your visa. I would like to give credit to the author Stfiii at https://www.visajourney.com/profile/210028-stfiii/

You will find highlighted areas that shows the Clinica Medica Internacional, American Consular, ASC (Application Service Center) Groceries, Walmart, Costco, Restaurants, Convenience Stores, Museums etc...- are all at.

Last but especially important. We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks
