Hello all, I hope I'm in the correct forum.

I am an American born filipino (US Citizen) and would love to visit my fiance in the Philippines. Is it possible with this epidemic?

Thanks in advance,

Daryle

The Philippines region forum would be your best bet to find or ask for this information.

Here is a recent thread where people discussed what they had to do to get a visa to visit the Philippines:

Contact BI (Bureau of Immigrations) via Facebook.

They have all the rules and how to visit Philippines.  If you have any questions just send them a message, they have been very responsive to my immigration questions.

Actually you don’t need the child together, just a biological child in the country. My fiancé is not the mother of my son but having spent the last 10+ years in the Philippines I’ve had the chance to find the best match 🙂.

However some members here and some of my personal friends are meeting up with their wife’s, fiancé, girlfriend etc in a 3rd country with central and South America being popular. That is always an option. My close friend is having his Long term gf fly from Manila to Bogotá and will

spend 3-4 months there. He lives in the Philippines in an SRRV but can’t get back yet. He voluntarily left in august due to the police state of the country.  Look for some deals on Emirates, Qatar and Turkish. They have connections to south and central America from Manila.

Most Asian countries are not possible at this time and I would expect that to continue until middle of next year.

The United States is now a country obsessed with the worship of its own ignorance.  Americans are proud of not knowing things.  They have reached a point where ignorance, is an actual virtue.  To reject the advice of experts is to assert autonomy, a way for Americans to insulate their increasingly fragile egos from ever being told they're wrong about anything.  It is a new Declaration of Independence: no longer do we hold these truths to be self-evident, we hold all truths to be self-evident, even the ones that arent true.  All things are knowable and every opinion on any subject is as good as any other.  The fundamental knowledge of the average American is now so low that it has crashed through the floor of "uninformed", passed "misinformed", on the way down, and now plummeting to "aggressively wrong."

When they finally open Philippines back up for tourist, I am coming in and busting the doors wide open on that country.

I can't wait to celebrate in Philippine.

The second half of 2021 the Philippines will open up tourist visa travel again would be the safe bet, September / October time frame.  3 different potential vaccines are close to being released should help things out quite a bit.

Yea I think you are correct.

I had to reschedule a ticket and when I did the farthest date out was for May.  I have a trip planned but in reality I am thinking it will be August/October before the open up Philippines, but like you said it not far off from opening just give it a little time.

Who is going to provide the vaccine to them?  This will be the big question.

YMMV
