My lawyer told me i have an RFE for medical report and i need to have it ready before the 10th of this month I owe my lawyer some money and i think he might be lying so I give him more money because he said they'll close the case if i don't send them the medical report by the 10th which cost 499 where i live and i can't pay off the whole amount to my lawyer and pay for the report in this short period  i been without work for while and I need to know if there's deadline for sending the RFE because I intend to send the medical report myself without using the lawyer maybe and the deadline he mentioned is bit over 30 days

I had an rfe last November I couldn't respond to it on time because my lawyer lost my number and couldn't reach me to tell me about it now i fired him and I wanna send it myself. It is form i693 medical exam. I want to know about deadline extension because i read that they gave us 60 days window to respond and if I can just send it even tho my lawyer still officialy representing me

Thank you all for your help I really need it

You applied for K-1 form I-129f? There’s no I-693 there.

regardless though, you only get one chance to respond to the RFE and if you fail to respond, your application is deemed abandoned and ultimately - denied.

Very much doubt that will fly. You will have to submit a new petition.

You got an RFE 1 year ago. What 60 days are you talking about? It’s been 365 days.

OP, by 'last November' do you mean November 2019, or November 2020?

No 2020 last month exactly

Okay. It isn't easy for us to help you without a complete timeline.  Where are you in the K-1 process?

Ok you're adjusting your status. That makes more sense with the medical. Yes you can send it on your own, don't need your lawyer to do it for you.

I don't know about the extension but if USCIS still shows that 60 extra days are granted and you're within that timeframe then it's probably alright.
