After VAWA APPROVAL

Once your 360 is approved Vermont sends it to NBC where they do a pre processing for your 485. NBC checks your file to make sure the 485 is filled out completely and all the paperwork is there like birth certificates and such before they send it to your local office.  Some people get transfer notices or online status updates about the case moving from VSC to NBC and then from NBC to local office but not everyone does. NBC can also send you the letter saying to update your medicals. The whole process of going from VSC to NBC to local office can take a few months. Once it gets to your local office you are placed in the queue to wait for an interview. Some local offices have wait times of 1 yr or more. Use the USCIS online system to see what the processing times are for 485 at your local office- keep in mind your priority date is N/A - you need to compare the date they are working on to the date your case was transferred to them if that makes sense.
