Can someone define what exactly is an "immigration benefit"?  We are trying to answer the last question on this form.  You have to fill the below out for each person in your household including the beneficary.  Are they referring to "public benefits"?

I am confused about what to enter into "Current Cash value".  It seems like I am supposed to enter in the cash value of the accounts, but then the pdf automatically ADDS that to the total cash value.  If i'm not supposed to put the cash value of the accounts, then what am I supposed to put there?  See below where it is adding to "TOTAL":

What do you see in the total if you enter nothing in the current cash value?  Are you using Adobe reader or some other program to complete the form?

The person applying for an immigration benefit is anybody actually seeking and applying for a visa for themselves.

If i enter nothing in cash value it just doesn't add it.  so if i removed it from current cash value it says 50,000

If I understand you correctly, entering nothing in current cash value, the total reads correctly???

Yes.  I guess the question is what are you supposed to enter into "Current Cash Value".  I dont understand this row.

If the total is already correct, don't enter anything there.

I am confused about the question "Did you or your household member(s), whose income is being included, file a federal tax return"?  This form is addressed to the beneficiary and the beneficiary did not file a tax return, but his wife (the sponsor, me), did.  So should we put "yes" and put the income from my w2?  I find it a bit strange because after this part A is part B where I would put my information in for the same exact question (because i am a member of his household), which would be the same amount of money for "Total income from tax return or Item1 on w-2..." if we also enter it into part A for the beneficiary.

Hi,

Did you find the answer to this question? I’m confused as well: how should I answer for my wife and kids who don’t have income and don’t file their own tax returns... I do...
