The joint sponsor is his cousin, born and raised in US, 31 years old, college graduate, real estate assistant, makes about $40k, single, no dependents. It is just my husband we have applied for.

My husband took a few pictures with him. Yesterday after the interview I sent them about 30 more pictures, including separate times I had been over to see him, screen shots from our video call as well as showing him talking to my kids and playing with them with screen filters, and then sent a picture of my passport pages showing the times I visited him. The last time was mid march to April 1st, right at the spike of COVID.

Sounds good what you did. It will work out.

Yet another rant from me, Juarez consulate applicant.

Tomorrow will be 20 months since my petition was filed.

Tomorrow will be 10 months waiting for an effing interview. Backlog in Juarez goes back to DQ March 2019.

So sorry but I know that COVID is hitting Mexico hard. Is the embassy even doing interviews? Hang in there.

Hello,

we have our interview in dec, my question is my husband last visited in the end of 2018, later on he planned n booked tickets cause the process was taking so long to come meet me in 2020 afterwards lockdown n corona happened !! We have proofs of tickets etc n ongoing communication between us on regular basis.

do you think it will be an issue on interview day n whether they will understand that why he didn’t visit after marriage ?

If asked when last you saw your spouse he can tell them. They know what's going on in the world. If not asked don't worry about it.
Will it be an issue depends on if they believe yo are a bonafide couples. Just remain positive that yo are and no worries.

I got my case requested for expedite to the NVC last october 14,

a week after(oct 22) they replied and they will review the request . By

oct 30  the US embassy in UAE  have accepted the case.

Nov. 5 when NvC submitted all our docs to US embassy.

Nov. 17 US embassy sent mail instructions how to make appointment.

Nov 19 they have confirmed my appointment of interview on Dec. 7

My question is do i only bring what im asked to bring as per the mail i have received from the embassy or should i bring everything that was uploaded since i started my application? Our pictures, AOS, 2019 tax return were not mentioned to bring on the day of interview. Mostly just the civil documents, police clearance and (his) divorce papers, medical report in sealed envelope.

Congratulations. I have added you to the spreadsheet. Yes your originals. Copies of your I-864 and transcripts why not just in case. And any other extra updated evidence especially if there were visits and such. Bring whatever you feel you may be asked for or need. Better to have and not need.

Gosh! speaking  of pictures, is it supposed to be like a scrap book compilation of pictures, or printed individually photo paper?

When it comes to the interview this is when yo u can show your stuff. Plain or fancy. I saw people coming out the embassy (Lagos) with suitcases full of picture books albums.
I made my husband take our wedding album and other events album all pretty decorative showing our style (or mine), I had a binder made up of updated chats, IM's, text, posting, last 5 years of my transcripts and Tax returns, every receipt we had fro visits at hotels, riding bus and plane (I lived there with hi 6 months ) and we wanted to show I was with him all the time from NVC to interview.
They asked for nothing but was impressed with the load he had carried.
For NVC especially with all the time between DQ's and interview why not have copies of all the AOS. Many embassies are asking for current paystubs and such because many people aren't reporting they are unemployed. so play it safe.
That was our fear cuz I was unemployed 6 months at my husbands interview living with him and so didn't want to be asked to get a joint sponsor that's why I submitted to NVC 5 years of tax transcripts to show this girl makes money and has no issues. They knew I was there all that time and said that's nice I can stay here and know I will have no problem getting a job when I get back.

So just be prepared is all I am saying for whatever you situation is.

It is definitely frustrating that the website and emails often have differing information but I would definitely make sure you have everything mentioned on both the site and the email. For our Embassy they even said to bring copies of everything uploaded in addition to making sure all documents are up to date and correct (like police certificate). As mentioned, better safe than sorry!

You have to realize many embassies state that way because of people who file directly with the embassy and that's what they need to bring. They don;t have a NVC folks bring this and direct filers and emergency filers bring that.
Rule of thumb is if you came through NVC no need to bring.
What I tell folks is whatever for AOS you submitted bring the other . Like you submitted Tax transcripts bring tax forms and W2's or vice versa just to be prepared. I would also now with COVID bring current paystubs tow show employment maybe even a current employment letter.
Every embassies is different so know your embassy.

Hello

I got the DQ message and my interview is on december.

I didn't submit the police certificate and i explained why i couldn't have one. I have to precise that i have been living more than 3 years in S Korea.

My question is, since they accept my case and sent me an interview date letter, can it be an issue at the embassy about the missing police certificate document ?

Thanks.

You will be put in AP until you submit the Police Certificate.

So I can add you to spreadsheet what is your DQ date, Interview letter date and interview date and country. Thanks

Just updated my details, doing CR1. Think Amsterdam has quite a low number of cases, so things seem to be going pretty quick

I didnt have to do anything for that. I got the DQ e-mail 27th of October, and 20th November I received e-mail with interview date 3rd of December. You have to register the appointment and confirm your address, that was not possible for me, so I sent an e-mail and received a reply 2 days later. I will just take the 3rd of December, so I have not tried the system of booking an appointment myself.
