Yet another rant from me, Juarez consulate applicant.

Tomorrow will be 20 months since my petition was filed.

Tomorrow will be 10 months waiting for an effing interview. Backlog in Juarez goes back to DQ March 2019.

Sucks, 26 months here.  I heard Juarez had a year backlog before the covid.  Looks like we're on that 3-4 year timeline at this point.

Thank you for sharing in great detail! I feel you on all the reasons for expedite especially the UAE residence permit. My husband's residence visa expires soon so we also asked for an expedite because he doesn't want to extend and then leave the company after just a few months. We'll see, the NVC email said they are 'still reviewing' our request. I sent it on Nov 4, so I am surprised the review is taking so long. Good luck on the interview! Keep us posted :)

Call them, follow up your case. Let them feel the urgency of that matter. We call every week. And we received most of their replies in email by thursday  every week

Hi,I know this may be off topic but has anyone had a layover through JFK this month? My flight is booked for next week (to Atlanta) but we have a 3hr layover at JFK. Question is, will I need the covid 19 test as it is required for all travellers going into New York State. I did ask the airline and they said that requirement is only for those terminating their trip at New York, since I'm only passing through, I don't need it. But I want to be extra sure that I don't need it. Thanks

Hi,

If police records were submitted last year, 12/12/19 - should my husband request for new recent records? We are still waiting for an interview after DQ but just want to make sure our paperwork are up to date. Don't think we will be called for an interview before 12/12/19.

yes you will need a new police clearance

🇺🇸 actually doesn't require it for incoming...right now ny rules are for a 2 week quarantine.   I live in NJ

Thanks for the response but I read contiguous states of NY including NJ are exempt from this requirement. That's probably why you weren't required to get the test

Hopefully someone who has travelled through recently can chime in -- I haven't gone through this month, but last time I went through JFK they required filling out a form listing where you'd come from and where you would be staying, but this form was only necessary if you were staying in NY, not passing through. I didn't have to fill out or hand in this form during my layover. My guess would be that this situation is similar and they don't let you out of the airport without the test, but if you don't leave the airport during your layover, you wouldn't be subject to this requirement.

Oops forgot to post in November group! DQ back in July Nicaragua’s embassy opened in October and I was notified days later that my husbands interview is November 30th. On the interview date email it says to keep up with the website about the presidential proclamation on health care but I’m paranoid and not sure if I should send in a letter from work that once he’s here he’ll be covered by my insurance ?

I would wait and be instructed by the embassy.

Thanks! I asked my husband to request new ones (Jordan and UAE). He should get them within a week or so. current police cert is within a year, is that right?

He only needs police report in the current place of resident unless he has been going back to the other country  he will need a new one from there also.

Congratulations I added yo to the spreadsheet. The healthcare proclamation is in court and a non issue right now so don't worry.

Feel free to delete if not allowed. But had my medical in London today. Pretty straightforward process, went through and asked questions about my medical history (of which there is thankfully not a lot of, it seems), had to get two shots and do an xray and that was basically it. Interview on the 7th, 11 days from now. Will update y'all. ❤️

Congratulations. Almost at the finish line. Hang in there.

@TamMhmd Did you receive any reply from NVC yet regarding expedite ?
Thank you
