Same happened to me, I had to attach all the documents all over again. I read somewhere on the forums if u hit the BACK button  all  attachments are gone. Best is to upload all files when ready to submit the application. On my account still shows will take up to 72 hours to show  all the case information  🤕

Hi Stefi, Does your estimated case completion time display as 6 months? I also saw that the IOE notice was sent out the next day. I guess one good thing about applying online is that you get receipt confirmation immediately and do not have to worry about your packet getting lost/mishandled.

I still can't see any information beside that my application was submitted successfully. Wonder why for some it takes 24 hours and for other longer to display the estimated time?

Finally the estimated time appeared and is 12 months 🤦‍♀️. Waiting time shows 4 days.

I wouldn't be disheartened,  Stefi

The estimated wait time does not seem to have anything to do with actual processing time as another applicant informed :(.

She applied in early MAY 2020. Got NOA in a week. Estimated processing time was 6 mos (Dec 2020). But she's not even gotten her biometrics scheduled yet :(

So I guess , like every other USCIS application type, we need a crystal ball for this one too !

Hi all,

Question to all “3 year GC filers”: Which supporting documents are you actually submitting? Because the way I interpret the instructions, it seems like I’m ok if I submit the tax transcripts of the previous 3 years (if filed jointly)?

Any comments are appreciated!

Was a stressful journey full of ups and downs, cya in 2020 VJ. I'll be back when it's time to begin the dreaded I-751. Biggest advice - make sure you have a TON of evidence, be completely honest and you'll be fine. Good luck everyone! =)

File exactly what it tells you to on the checklist. You can then bring additional evidence to the interview.

  • I submitted my application online on Tue Nov 10. The online process was far simpler than filling out on paper. However, I noticed several times that my attachments were NOT saved if I switched between sections. I hope people are careful to check that ALL of their attachments get included in the final snapshot before they hit Submit :)
  • I was able to see all my documents in my account in 24 hrs.
  • I also noticed that although I had my email and text notifications turned on, I did NOT get notified when USCIS updated records to indicate they had sent a receipt etc. I guess the notifications only work when there is a status update?

I'd love to hear from folks when they get their biometric appt notice and other correspondence, just to get a sense of wait periods and timelines. :)

Good luck to all Nov 2020 filers!

I had the same issue with saving documents. You need to save 5 files/documents (not more because that's the limit) then hit next to save and then logout and sign back in. You have to do every time you upload 5 files otherwise your files wont save. I know it's frustrating and they should really work on enhancing their system. However, I'd still say it's a lot better than submitting a hard version of the N-400.

Has everyone been following the news about the Trump administration and USCIS changing rules of naturalization to make the interview tougher? They're  trying to make the interview involve 20 questions, instead of 10. We need to get 12 correct, instead of 6. And they're also adding and changing questions. Apparently, the officer will also ask all twenty even if you get twelve correct early on.

😞

Yes but I don’t see the issue. You still need to pass the 60% threshold - so relatively speaking it’s the same. If you’re prepared, it won’t be an issue to pass no matter what, I’d say.

The issue is that it's not the same experience for every candidate even if the process is the same. Mathetically yes, you only need to get 60% to clear the interview. And of course I'd imagine everyone is going to be prepared as best as they can hope to be. That doesn't mean everyone fares equally or handles that sort of stress equally well.

Also some of these questions are super easy while others could challenge a fair number of US-born citizens.
