ROC impacts on previously filed I90

Hello!

 

In a couple months, I will file ROC and should get an 18 months extension letter, which I can use to prove my status if I also had my 2 year conditional card.

 

The problem is I don't have a valid 2 year card due to the USCIS error! I filed I90 over 18 months ago and it is still pending.

 

My question is, will they stop processing my I90 as soon as I file ROC? If so, I will sadly have no proof of status for a few more years! (I apparently could go to their office to get a stamo, but it is really really costly to go!)

You don't have a choice in whether or not you file ROC. So your options are to do without a document that proves your status or get the stamp. Hopefully the I-90 processes quicker than you expect. 

Cateogory: CR1

  • NOA1/Notice of receipt: Sept. 15, 2015
  • NOA2/I130 Approved: February 8, 2016 (NO RFE) :)
  • Process slowed down by us
  • Sent documents to NVC: April 11, 2016
  • Scan date: April 14/ May 7th (NVC said both I dont know why)
  • Case Complete: May 31, 2016 (No checklist) :dancing:

August 17, 2016: Visa Approved!!!! :dancing:
