Knife attack at French church leaves 3 dead, alert level raised to maximum

 

One woman was reportedly decapitated and two other people were stabbed to death on Thursday following a knife attack at a church in the French city of Nice that also left several others wounded, according to multiple reports.

The suspect, believed to be acting alone, was injured during his arrest and was taken to a local area hospital, police said.

An investigation was opened into an attack by the French anti-terrorism prosecutor’s office, reports said. Images on French media showed the neighborhood locked down and surrounded by police and emergency vehicles. 

Prime Minister Jean Castex said the country's threat level will be raised to its maximum after the attack. He also told the French National Assembly that the government's response to the attack would be firm and implacable.

France and much of the culturally descending first world has long needed to get back to basic understandings of freedom.

I'm 30 minutes from France. That's one place we wont be going THIS year.  Germany has a lot of Muslim immigrants. Can anyone tell me why there are not acts of violence like that here in Germany? Just wondering

I miss my Army days. My best days were as an enlisted man in Germany in the Army.  Those were great times, for me. I went on to be an officer in the Army Reserve,  went to the Persian Gulf War, but the best days were as an enlisted single soldier in Germany. I wish I had those days back sometimes.  Now my "hurrah" in life is all about my wife as an Air Force  (boooo... hehe) nurse

I was a truck driver in Germany. Drove a deuce and a half. In the Army Reserve I was  a Civil Affairs officer
