Hi,

My wife's I-129 was approved December 22nd, 2005. We still have not heard anything from Naples (Feb 20)! No packet 3 or 4 or anything!

We have been calling them literally everyday as well as email and fax. They simply will not respond to anything! It is very frustrating. I am curious how it was so easy for you? any secrets?

What to do? How can we get in touch with them?

Regards,

Daniel

Hi Maria,

Glad to hear you got everything all straightened out with the police certificate. And though you don't need the info anymore, I just wanted to reassure you that you and Jenn are right. My husband also got the Certificato Generale. ... Do you know when your interview date is? If you're scheduled for Feb 6/7, let me know! My husband is coming from Rome as well on those dates for his K3 interview.

Best,

Kaalyx

Hi,

no unfortunately my interview date was scheduled for Febr 23 (medical Feb 22)......They're so slow!! When did he get packet 4?

Maria

Jesus that sounds pretty nasty!!!!! Our situation was kind of the same.....our I129F was approved on dec5th and was after that sent it to the NVC....we called NVC on dec23 and they told us they had sent it to Naples on dec16. We tried to call Naples about 3 weeks later because we hadn't have any package 3 yet and it seemed too strange. We tried as I said because they got really angry at us...."You can't call this number, you need to send a fax" (as always) that's what they told us.....My husband is very stubborn and he was upset too....he's been to Iraq, he served his Country....so he just sent them an email and told them "Look I am an american citizen I served my country in Iraq I risked my life for it, I saw people dying....and when I need my country, it turns the back on me" The next morning we had package 3 in the email as an attachment. We couldn't believe it. He would be sending them emails and they responded always real quickly....I couldn't believe it!!! Then package 4 was another big problem. We sent the fax and we notified them that we had all the required documents, we were just waiting for this appointment to be scheduled.....nothing. At thta point my husband wrote his Senator in ohio, he told him about this frustrating situation and, since he served his country and senators do anything if they know you're a Iraq Veteran (especially nowadays). This Senator was a very sweet person....he sent Naples an email to check on our case and Naples had to reply....we had all the appointment dates. Right away. But we had to wait for the actual package 4 with all the forms before we could do anything.....the package got lost in the mail and they had to send it to us by email.....Believe me it was not easy...I still can't believe tomorrow we are taking the train to go down there......it seems the end of a nightmare. Naples is not a bad consulate, they told me the officers are real good people, very kind and professional. The bad part is the administrative part, which does these kind of things. As you know, this part is controlled by italian workes, local workes and not american people. So I basically told you everything. ehehhe ;) Your case is absurd.....you need to do something right away!!! You should have already got the Visa!!!!! Damn this is crazy...Our personal advice in this case is to write your Senator/Rapresentative in the States and tell tem about this situation....they will realize this is crazy too. At this point this is the best thing you can do....since they don't answer at all!!! They will have to reply the Senator in any case.....

Good Luck

Hi Daniel, are you applying for a K-3? :time: If so, have you verified that Naples has received your application? You can call the State Dept in the US to find out, or did you track the package from NVC to Naples?

I'm away from my home, but if you PM me, I'll send you the state dept phone number (don't call the 899 number on the consulate website! they have no information!). If you find out that Naples has your file, I can email you the Packet 3 that Naples sent me. Your experience with Naples seems to be par for the course, but there are ways around it,

I still can't believe tomorrow we are taking the train to go down there......it seems the end of a nightmare.

Good luck to you, Maria! This day has been a long time coming, but you have Mike by your side, so that's a great source of comfort :luv: Come back and tell us how everything went :D
