Hello, does anyone know or could help me how to translate bank statements for AOS. They are asking for last 12 months, unfortunately I have them in my native language and different currency than USD. Anyone here who just translated it? Or what did you do? I can't access my account anymore since I cancelled it before leaving my country. I thought maybe translate important parts/ just write it next to it? Like income, how much I spend and highlight parts where it proves it is my bank account. THX

Well it might be my misunderstanding, but for I-944 there is a requirement for bank account statements for last 12 months.  And since me as a beneficiary, I am filling it- thought I have to prove them my statements. Do you think it is onl for US statements in this case my fiance/husband?

The applicant, which is the immigrant, is the one filling out I-944. So when the instructions says "you" it's talking about the immigrant, and when it says your household member, it's talking about the USC spouse and other members.

So for the bank statements, the applicant also needs to submit them if they have assets in a foreign bank.

We decided to pay for a certificated translation  for the bank statements. The AOS process itself its already very stressful and we want to prevent any discussion. If you can afford, just pay and save your stress for the other parts of the AOS process.
