Hi,

I am filling out the I-130A, and I am wondering if I can sign it with a digital signature on Preview.

I know I don't have to sign, but my spouse and I both live abroad so I wonder if it's better.

Definitely make sure anything you (petitioner?) have to sign you don't do electronically!

Your spouse (beneficiary?) shouldn't have to sign anything.

My husband (petitioner) signed electronically and our application was initially rejected pending his wet signature. This delayed us two months!!

Hopefully some helpful advice for you - good luck!

Print both I-130 and I-130a and sign.  Then scan and upload.

Technically you don't have to sign the I-130a, but since both of you are together and can do it, er....do it.

The "no signature required" thing is for couples that are in separate countries and is inconvenient to mail the form back and forth just for a signature.

+1 to this. Absolutely print, sign, and scan any documents that require a signature.

Our digital signature submission delayed us by ~9 weeks.
