hi,

uscis has said they sent us our temporary resident card but we had also filed for our ead and advance parole document which online says is still pending...someone told my wife she doesn't need either of these once she gets the resident card....she can work and leave the country. i'm just wondering on both of these so plz let me know..

If by "temporary resident card" you mean the conditional green card, then no, you will not need the advance parole or EAD.

March 14, 2006: Filed I-130 ... by itself. Oops.

June 21, 2006: I-130 approved

March 12, 2007: Mailed I-485 package

June 4, 2007: EAD received!!

July 24, 2007: Interview 8am APPROVED!!! Day 133 from filing. Emails for card production and welcome letter.

so then what does she need if we wanna go visit south korea this x-mas??? (just passport, green card,and ticket??) also for her to start working somewhere what kind of evidence does she need to bring to her future employer??

also for her to start working somewhere what kind of evidence does she need to bring to her future employer?? - Just the green card - to show that she's a legal permanent resident and that she could work for any employer in the US.

As soon as your wife gets her (conditional) green card, she should go to the SSA and have her SS card changed to one without the "Work with DHS Authorization Only" tag. When she applies for employment, she will just present her green card and the new SS card.

08/17/08: Mailed N400 to TSC

08/19/08: USPS attempted delivery

08/20/08: TSC received N400

08/21/08: TSC cashed check

09/02/08: Received NOA...........Priority date: 08/20/08

..............................................Notice date : 08/22/08

09/02/08: Received Biometrics Notification

09/18/08: Biometrics completed - Charlotte DO

10/24/08: Received Interview Letter

12/08/08: Interview @ 1:00pm. APPROVED!

01/05/09: Oath Ceremony 10:00AM. Now officially a USC!!!
