5 days is likely not long enough to get results from Medisys as they quote 10 days. You might get lucky though so definitely let them know you're in a rush. It still takes roughly 14-30 days to issue the visa, though it can take a while for them to acknowledge that they've received the medical once it's been sent so it may be longer. They will keep your passport as long as there are no other issues. You could potentially ask to keep it but that will add additional delays when you have to mail it in. 

 

You'll also need a new police certificate if yours is over a year old (our interview is the week before yours and we needed a new one).

Change appears to be post-COVID-19 shutdown, we've seen several VJ members in the IR/CR1 Montreal chat experience longer wait times for medical results at both Medisys and Zatzman.
