So my husband already has his combo card.  Today we received a new biometrics appointment for the i131.  That seems odd.  Do we need to attend this again? Thanks

No

YMMV

Just to be safe I would attend.

Will they revoke the already issued card if they no show for a biometrics appointment that is not required?

What people don't realize is biometrics is not required for Advance Parole.  Biometrics is required for an I131 for a re-entry permit but that is not the benefit being applied for by the OP.

YMMV

I'm in Philadelphia and received an appointment letter as well for the i131. I called USCIS last Friday and am supposed to have someone contact me soon. Really hoping I don't have to attend since I have my combo card and it's far away lol. What's your plan?

We are also in this situation and confused about it. I called USCIS and they said my husband didn’t need to attend. But I’ve seen posts on VJ saying the fingerprint is necessary for re-entry into the US If they travel with the card and my husband wants to travel home soon, so he’s going to go To the second appointment just to be safe. It’s one of those things where I’d rather be safe than sorry. It’s a hassle but anything that will possibly prevent him being detained on re-entry seems worth it to me. It’s just an hour or so of our time to do it again.

How did you get ahold of someone so easily that told you that you didn't need to go? I've been waiting the 7 days to be contacted by a tier 2.

I just called the number at the bottom of the form and kept saying speak to representative and it connected me to one fairly quickly.

We are going to go again. its only a 45 min drive but  I DID NOT WANT TO MAKE THAT DRIVE AGAIN.  If it is for re entry I think that will be beneficial for us, since we plan on going to his home country soon. I do not want any problems when we try to re enter.  I haven't called anyone to ask the specifics

Advance Parole does not require biometrics.  Even if it did, they would use the i765/i485 capture.

They would NEVER have issued the card if any requirements were missing

YMMV

The drive is not fun! I just wanted to let you know that they contacted me via email and have cancelled my appointment, which is on Monday. If you go, just be sure to bring your previous appointment letter with the stamp so they know you've already been.

OMG, this same thing happened to us. We received the EAD/AP card in February 2020 and used it once already to travel out of the country and back again. But we received two notices for biometrics appointments for I-131 biometrics. I rescheduled them both while trying to figure out what's going on.  We had biometrics done on 11-25-19 . I've tried calling USCIS multiple times and cannot get any human being on the line.
